Monchi will not be buying from the PL, it's the antithesis to the Villa (Monchi) philosophy.

I agree, just hope he finds better than Zaniolo.

RB is the only position I think is an issue tbh. I want to see Pau and Konsa as our CB pairing with someone more cool, calm and collected than Cash at RB.

No i can’t watch ramsey and zaniolo start on that left side of midfield any longer they are not good enough right now… we need a a RB too nahuel molina hopefully from atletico after that not too fussed.

Agreed and even if you like Cash, having to cut up our centre back pairing and move our best centre back out wide in order to cover right back when our first choice isn’t available is far from ideal anyway

Yeah, exactly my thinking too.

Ramsey not good enough? He was phenomenal last season on the left and will be at that level again very soon. Only way to get him up to full speed is to play him - short term pain and all that......

Tell me you didn't attend Huddersfield at home without telling me you didn't watch Huddersfield at home a few years back.

RB high priority.

Konsa has played almost every league minute and was completely gassed in the second half against United and he’s a CB.

CM is not great but we will hardly see Dendoncker that many times this season. We need Diaby to get firing again so we can move him to the second striker spot and rotate McGinn at CMM.

I think Konsa was gassed, because he was having to do too much.....Him and McGinn was looking around, to see who was doing what...and it wasn't a pretty sight.

One of his biggest fans here.....but his performances are lightweight, right now.

Thats reassuring.🙄

In all seriousness, I couldn't care less if he buys from the Mongolian League....so long as the players, can do the job, they are employed to do.

I think we need a couple of players who have won league titles to help us get CL. Who that is I don’t know.

We had one.....Danny Drinkwater😃

So who are you going to drop for Gallagher? Mcginn? Luiz?

Uni was trying to sign Ugarte apparently, which suggests to me he is after a more robust midfielder to play alongside Kamara. Wouldn't surprise me if we go for Paulinha from Fulham

or cover....we cannot rely on one specialist in a 25 man squad, particularly in a combative role, to get injuries and suspensions.

and thats exactly, what I would do...fwiw.

good shout, by the way.

I think we're missing the options that Buendia gives us. We need a number 10 that can open up stubborn defences when they sit back.

Yeah.  Seems we've got scorers who want to net the goal, but not a hold-up playmaker who wants to create it.  Ollie is excellent when he's already in motion and has runway.  Bailey and Diaby are great when they can breathe.  But in traffic, they just can't dig it out and their exterior passes are short ditches which are less about creation than about setting up their own run.  Those lovely long passes of Pau's need a target who can receive, protect, and create space before finding the scorer.  Buendia's as close as we've got, but he does seem to get knocked off the ball easily.   If you don't have Bernardo's feet, you need McGinn's arse.

I thought Wan Bissaka was really good in a Emery right back type role last night.  That boat must have sailed now though, he ain't going anywhere.

Think Man. United triggered an extension but he's got roughly 18 months left on his deal so will probably be offered around in the summer.

I hope that doesn't include squandering 2-0 leads, by inept defending.
