Bookies still pricing us at about an 18-20% chance of Top 6.

They've Brighton at 56% chance of top 6 and Spurs at about 51% chance.

Need United to get at least a point off Spurs tonight

Bookies are still holding bets from before our good form and Spurs decline, it sways the odds.

Seen that. I think we're now best price 4/1 for it.

What pissed me off, 2 days before we played Chelsea (think we were 11th or 12th at the time) we were 40/1 for a top 6 finish with William Hill best price.

I was going to visit a few WH shops in my local areas and place it numerous times, sprinkling a decent amount £ on each bet at each location.

W@nkers wouldn't allow me to place anymore than £15 on!.. whether at a FOT or over the counter..   😡 Fkn Pointless.

Yet, they will quite happily watch you stand there and pile in hundreds of pounds into one of these heroin roulette machines in minutes and do sod all about it.   Rats!

I doubt it, while the title race is all but over, it’s only over if City take most of the points they have left to play for.  As for Arsenal game that’s in three games time so Arsenal are still in the title race and only if City slip up can they win so unless Arsenal have imploded they still need to do the business and I’m guessing with nothing else to play for will want to prove they deserve to be where they are and not total bottlers.

Yeah Arsenal game will be massive as Arsenal will really need to win to stay in the race. It’s the Man City game which may be a dead rubber. However, it can only be a dead rubber if Man City win every single game (likely) and Arsenal get less than 10 points in their next 4 games against Chelsea, Newcastle, Brighton and Forest.

Wouldn't say it's a dead rubber, City's B team are more than capable of beating anyone, and they'll all possibly be playing for starting spots in the CL final.

They need to get past Madrid first though.

Liverpool still aren't hugely convincing by their standards but they have the fixtures and with more players returning from injury also the firepower to make 5th seem like it's nailed on for them.

Said it yesterday but especially after the Forest result Brighton and Spurs are still there to be targeted. Brighton have been great but their squad is small and being pushed to its limits with the amount of games they have, and there's some rough ones in there at that. Spurs are a tough one to call but they've been an absolute mess of late with United and Liverpool in their next two, so hopefully a couple of losses there and an even bigger knock to their confidence with it.

I'd still be beyond delighted with 7th. It'll be tough but that applies to the other teams as well at this moment, Villa have the points on the board too which feels more comfortable than assuming/hoping games in hand will come good.

I don't see Spurs getting much more than 5 more points. We beat them and 7th is pretty much nailed - at least completely in our hands as long as we match what their results.

Have to say that a while back I thought 8th was our absolute top limit. Incredible that that is now looking like the worst case (barring an almightly collapse).

Need Man Utd to get at least a draw tonight, then it will just become a case of bettering Spurs results over the remaining 5 games which is something I'm confident Villa can do.

My predictions for the remaining 5 games:-

Man Utd - L

Wolves - D

Spurs - W

Liverpool - L

Brighton - D (this is dependant on what the table looks like going into it. If it's a case of Villa need to win to get that European place I'd back Villa to win)

If we get anything at Old Trafford and Anfield then it's a bonus.

I will be very upset if we don't beat Manure with CB combo of 2 from Maguire Lindelof Shaw

I’m not writing Spurs off yet because they may get a new (assistant) manager bounce.  I’m hoping they continue as poorly because it looks like it will but you never know under a different head coach even if it is only Ryan Mason.  We need Man U to kill them off tonight to stop any thought of end of season revival, we don’t want them getting any confidence.

I’m still in disbelief looking at the table. We’re in late, late April and we’re 5th(!)(fifth, cinco, fem, fimm).

And we have a cup final specialist for our next five cup finals. It’s in our hands.

I think United will beat them, and Liverpool will also.

I have a headache...  I just listened to a Man United supporter try to make the case that ten Hag should be Manager of the Season because he's apparently worked miracles with this Man United squad this season...  According to him, apparently, Emery just has had an extended "new manager bounce" and we're going to fall off hard in our last 5 games.  Also, Eddie Howe hasn't spent much money since he took over at Newcastle, even though they've spent over 250 Million on transfers since Howe took over, second to everyone but Chelsea in that time period.

Why do I even talk to fans of other clubs?  They're all morons.  🤣

I think 61, at a push 62 will be enough for 6th. 60 probably enough for 7th.

United - D
Wolves - W
Spurs - W
Liverpool - L
Brighton - D

Where does that leave us? 62 and 6th?

It does matter the earlier you play the relegation candidates the more they have to play for.

for example whoever plays Southampton on the last day will have an easy game….. they will already be relegated

That would be Liverpool then....

I actually think looking at the run ins they can challenge Man. United for that last CL spot.

Brighton can certainly get a result when they play Arsenal the way they're defending now.

I think Brighton playing Man. City last midweek so we'll see, it could still be the game Man. City need to win to take the league.
