😆 So much BS out there, hard to know what to believe…

Surely somewhere in this country or abroad, there is a quality player that needs games to make a World Cup squad and his host club, would be prepared to loan him out to us?

That said the aforementioned, wouldn't take any prisoners in the centre of our defence, but he must be getting on a bit and he's even shorter than Newton Heath's Lisandro Martinez... :D

Physicality is definitely an asset. One of about 100 you need to be a top footballer.

Drop pts in charisma for dexterity and constitution too. Minmax is key.

Without beating a dead horse.

Have you noticed there is a trend where alot of these new signings in the League, are big, powerful players, to add to already bigger teams?.

Meanwhile we are often linked to midgets, to add to an already small team.

Obviously links are purely the that but our size and strength is such a glaring issue, and has been for time!

I have a different theory.

Fans want to identify with their favourite club’s players. The worst possible situation is your club’s players being physically dominated, because that almost feels like you’re being dominated yourself (childhood trauma can play a part here).

Because of a distorted view of reality some fans see their own club’s players as being smaller than they actually are. It’s similar to when anorexic girls see themselves in the mirror and believe they’re fat.

Not sure it's that deep to be fair 😂.

If they were tiny but we're knocking it around bigger players , occasionally getting bullied but winning, it wouldn't be as much of a thing

However since I can remember, any physically imposing team we come up against, we tend to implode.

Fact is, a team of larger players, against a team of smaller players, with the exact same skill level, would see the bigger team win, as with any sport.

Size and athleticism is now a big part of the game, not a deeper part of an early childhood complex. Lol

Even commentators on our games point this out at times.

Not sure how much more creativity we can get in the squad. We need calmness and composure in midfield.

Agreed, we have creative players, what we lack is physicality, defensive nous and composure in possession.

As the manager likes to say, it’s on him. He has to get the best out of the quality players at his disposal and set them up in a system that can be effective and allow them to thrive… will that ever happen?

When you have Buendia, and Coutinho, you shouldn’t be struggling to create chances. You should be keeping the ball on the ground, play an intricate passing game with effective build up that gets the ball to these guys (rather than them having to drop deep to find it) and allows them to play deadly and incisive passes to the forward(s)… the more chances, the more goals…

But… we enjoy the hoofball and aimless crossing. To push the fullbacks all the way forward and leave us exposed and easy to play through. Our midfield vacates it’s area too easily and too often. We are easy to play against.

Kamara is being left isolated and with too much to do, just as Luiz was…

It’s a mess.

He has persisted with playing both JJ and McGinnin the side and made a stupid appointment in terms of the captain…

We've only got Buendia, Coutinho, and Bailey for the two No.10 / wide forward positions, not sure why people keep saying we don't need more creativity, we definitely do, if one of Buendia, Coutinho, or Bailey were to get injured we would be short, if two of them were to get injured we would be forced to play players out of positon.

Uz going for Sarr was completely understandable, and it will be equally understandable if we go for an alternative to him, especially if it's a player with similar qualities, as we need not just another attacker, but one that can offer us something different to what we already have.
