He looks good if you look at his goals column, but he’s not a good technician, isn’t quick and isn’t agile. It’d be a really poor signing. So from that perspective - I'd rather sell Ollie, whilst his stock is relatively high, get a good fee for him and keep Ings to play the back-up striker role. I'd then also keep Archer at the club and gradually build up his minutes on the pitch so that next season he's our super-sub striker. We'll take a hit on Ings at that point but there would still be a market for him. I agree with this , Ings can stay but it’s essential we get that poacher forward like you say as we cannot bank on Ings but the problem is where can we find this player … we need a tevez, aguero type of no nonsense one touch bang finisher forwards… archer is definitely one for the upcoming years 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
