Weekends Football 25/27 September

That is the sort of game as a fan that sticks in the back of your throat for weeks. Sickening feeling that just eats away at you. Dominate for nearly the whole game, hit the woodwork 5 times, De Gea pulling off point blank saves, you get the least you deserve in the last minute and then still throw it away.

United just had a seasons worth of luck in one game. But i hate Maupay and his meme alone being thrown back at him makes it worth it

thats Brighton losing to Chelsea and manure although clearly being the better team for both matches

They've shown  more than enough in first 3 games to suggest they can finish in top half. Their record v top 6/7 is a bit like us though, were just cursed in the game today with how it all panned out.

Happened in Germany last season. The players were already in the dressing room and had to be called back onto the pitch.

But yeah, it's not right and Manure absolutely should not be allowed Fergie-time for until however long it takes them to score today.

That's the bit I don't actually get. 5 minutes added on (which was generous in first place as was only 4 subs and only one goal in second half), Brighton scored right at the end of that (94.46 according to looking at Bet365) and yet Man. United then get another minute to go down the other end and win and time to take a corner?!

He should've just blown up as soon as they kicked off for 2-2 and nobody would've bothered complaining.

Shocking decision... do you then go back through and allow every decision that was not given to be given?

Farcical and a result that should be reversed back to the 2-2 when the referee blew for full time.

If it’s allowed to stand it’s going to set a precedence that will allow all non given penalties that should’ve been given to get taken after the match.

On a positive note great result for us.

Can't allow teams like Brighton getting too far ahead of us early on.

We shouldn’t be worrying about Brighton, they aren’t going to be in a relegation battle, but then hopefully neither will we.

He handballed it about 2 seconds before the ref blew for full time. If it had happened at any other time in the game it would have been pulled back for the penalty too. It’s just a coincidence that it happened when it did. The same thing would happen in any game if a clear penalty was missed with the last action of the game.

Doesn’t matter, he had blown for full time, that’s the end of the game. You can’t pick and choose when to give a penalty no matter how close to full time it happens.

I’m not really sure what your argument is. It’s as blatant a penalty as you’ll ever see and it happened during the game. If the ball had gone out for a throw in it would have been pulled back for a penalty too.

The ref blew the final whistle at which point VAR told him he’d missed a penalty during that passage of play. It’s the correct decision and led to the correct result (albeit United deserved to be well beaten if Brighton could take their chances).
