Useless. You really are the fountain of knowledge of our youngsters and youth football in general. I thank you . Its so interesting to hear your take on stuff .

It makes a mockery of his username, frankly.

Just googled Brannigan and has been linked with Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Leeds in the media recently, he had a trial at Man City with Alan Nixon claiming they were desperate to sign him. So seems he has a big reputation in youth football at the moment, he's also a Northern Ireland youth international.

Aston Villa are set to win the race to sign teenage Linfield star Cole Brannigan.

The Northern Ireland Under-16 winger is one of the hottest properties in the country and has been linked with Premier League champions Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Leeds United but the Belfast Telegraph understands the Villa Park club have moved into pole position to land the talented youngster.

The Blues will receive a fee for Brannigan, who came through their Academy, with suggestions that Villa will pay around £150,000 plus adds on for a player many at Windsor Park feel has the ability and attitude to be a hit in England.

It is believed the move will be completed in the summer.

Who is it in our academy set up that sells the dream? Harrison, lange, someone else?

Our recruiting at that level seems brilliant

Think its Harrison mostly . Alot of our recruits are blown away by how much we know about them apparently. Which i think helps with parents putting their trust in us with their kids  .  From what i have read they do detailed presentations on the proepects that show their weaknesses as well as strengths.  It seems a well oiled machine but with a personal touch. And then they get to walk round the academy training facilities to top it all off.

Seems liked he had a hell of a game against Chelsea U15's

Never even neard of rowe before tbh. Isnt feeney a higher prospect for the age group ?

Rowe recently won Player of the Tournament in the Premier League National Tournament that we won. Beat Chelsea in the semis ( I think). Already played for the U21's.

Feeney is now under 18 England captain with a nice big Nike sponsorship. I think Rowe is a year or 2 below that .

There's a report on the official site, doesn't give much details, but Triston Rowe scored our other goal. Our U16s, U17s, and U18s, have all topped their respective groups in the Premier League Cup, would be nice to see at least one of them win the whole thing.

Serious amount of talent coming through.
