I don't think Denmark could have practiced properly as most of their run ups were shambolic.

Nerves can make all the practice go out the window if it gets to you. Penalties are no different to stage fright, just instead of forgetting the script, you forget how to operate your legs..

What’s the actual law regarding GKs and staying on the line? Or is it just something no one gives a shit about?

It's one of those rules no ref has the bottle to actually enforce.

unless you are an Ireland under 18 goalkeeper who got booked for it then sent-off in a shoot out recently

Russia v Croatia then and Uruguay v France

Half the Quarter Final line up sorted already

Think we were spoiled yesterday with 2 great games, standard tight as hell European fare today.

Tomorrow should be fun with 4 different federations represented (Come on Mexico!!)

Cant help thinking Tuesday is going to be really tight stuff again

Yeah I saw that, easy to enforce it in a kids game. I can guarantee that same ref wouldn't do it in a full international game.

I assume goalkeepers don't need to stay on their line during penalties anymore?

edit: @penguin mentioned it as well!
