Well things are shaping up.  Wonderful diversity.  10 Europeans, 4 South Americans, 1 Central American & 1 Asian side :D

Were people suggesting it's better for England to play Colombia rather than Japan?

Oh, I get it now. Beating Colombia sets up a favorable match against Sweden or Switzerland.

My initial thoughts are France are too high and Denmark could be even lower. Like the Croatia pick.

I said in another thread the other day that I didn't see anything in Brazil that would scare me as an English man... I need to revise that slightly after last night because Pickford terrifies me. I think he's an accident waiting to happen. As soon as England come under a bit of pressure I am concerned we'll leak soft goals.

Throwing more poor quality sides in to the mix in future tournaments is sure to improve things. <_<

I can't agree with Uruguay at 3, but they're certainly more accurate that the FIFA rankings!

true but one of only 2 teams with 100% record, no goals conceded and burst the Russia bubble

Absolutely this.

You could argue the 1st team hasn't really had a proper game yet. I like what Southgate* said about 20 outfield players having now played in a World Cup and that's great for morale. Shows he understands the feeling of being at a tournament with a squad.

*Although he is still a twonk for leaving us for Boro.

Theyre incredibly organised off the ball which isnt always eye catching, godin for me has been the best defender, 3rd might depend on gimenez injury, suarez and cavani arent as good as they look on paper

Suarez all round game has declined, I think due to a combination of age and simply spending the last few years in a more restricted role at Barca. However he's still absolutely deadly in the box, great finisher. Cavani on the other hand is  total joke, always has been.
