Beautiful. I'm not great at picking out flavours so won't try but there was definitely a bit of smokiness which was lovely but surprised me.

Was full and oily too which I love.

So, yeah it was great.

Had this as a closing drink after a gorgeous bottle of Portuguese Red. Never had it before - was pretty good actually. Need to test it further to see where it lies in my bourbon preferences. Was enjoying it having stumbled upon a bar where a talented chap was playing some excellent covers of southern american blues ( aka the soundtack from that Reginald Hunter show on the beeb recently) Felt like an appropriate beverage indeed.

Frozen margaritas for me today.

And before I get the "ghey" responses, I find it hard to drink beer or even spirits and mixers in Dubai because it all becomes so warm ridiculously quickly. Frozen drinks on the beach is the only option.

Margaritas aren't ghey, they're the nectar of Gods when done right.

I lived on them in Vegas.
