Ffs

There needs to be multiple game bans for cheating like this.

Sure they’d be a bigger appetite to crack down on it meaningfully if it wasn’t disproportionally the “star players” getting away with it.

Batsuhayi is still a Chelsea player and has played nearly as many games out on loan than he has for Chelsea

The surprise for me in that sentence is that he's played fewer games on loan than he has for Chelsea.

Premier League wants Championship to house loan players in new finance deal

'Premier League clubs want Championship sides to commit to developing young British loan talent as part of a restructuring of the finances in the English game.

At a lengthy shareholders meeting in central London on Tuesday plans for “a new deal for football” were discussed which would bring changes to the controversial parachute payments system and greater redistribution down the pyramid, including investment in infrastructure at League One and League Two grounds.

In return Premier League clubs would like better opportunities for their young players to develop. Frustrated by the lack of competitiveness at under-23 level, and with Brexit having reduced loan opportunities in Europe for British players, the lower leagues are an increasingly important place for player development.

Some directors, however, feel that the more physical demands of lower‑league football are not best suited to developing Premier League skills, particularly among players who have not fully developed physically. They believe this could change, perhaps if Championship sides were obliged to field a certain number of under-23 players in their first teams.'

So the aim is to turn lower league teams into supplicants who cannot choose to opt out of the loan system.

Makes more sense! I barely remember him playing for Chelsea.

Wikipedia has him down for 25 goals for Chelsea which is quite incredible though 8 in the Premier League

Rick Parry is a disgraceful person and would probably back turning the Championship into effective B teams for the elites club to horde talent and subsequently pillage the best talent from these clubs.

Why can’t the league, with its billion pound reserves, just give the them actual money? They can absolutely afford it.

It would kill competition and would effectively mean the clubs getting promoted are the ones able to best loan in names from elite clubs. It would kill the league. The EFL is a financial bubble waiting to burst and such moves would actually risk a lot of clubs survival.

AJAX banning the " (insert name) Can I have your shirt" signs from their stadium.

I actually support that and get why they are banning them. I don't like those signs and whenever a player misses them or has other plans for that shirt it makes them look really bad. Add in social media and TV cameras focusing on those kids and signs at games and the fall out is unfair to the players.

Obviously it's huge for kids getting a shirt from their favorite player but having a sign doesn't entitle you to one.

Because they're selling match worn shirts in the club shop rather than giving them away for free 😉

Not sure where else to put this

Was looking at the transfers around the world and saw that Brazilian FM wonderkid Renan has been released on a free by palmerias and thought wow which big club is going after him then

Turns out he's been sacked after killing someone while driving drunk and without a license
