Chindie Posted March 20, 2023 VT Supporter Share Posted March 20, 2023 The US has stated that a likely ceasefire is only in Russian interests - as it would allow them time to rebuild, restock and fortify their positions, and would also help legitimise the capture of Ukrainian territory. They aren't against the idea of a ceasefire, but only one that reasserts Ukrainian sovereignty over it's territory.
