Looks like Putin to me. What videos are we talking about?

This is the strangest one.  The still looks like a mask.  The video shows an odd movement at the very end.  The walk looks wrong.

He’s just adjusting his turtleneck collar. You can see it better towards the end of this video, from a different angle.

It also probably better fits his schedule. He was in Crimea in the morning, Mariupol in the evening then back to Moscow in time to meet Xi.

Yeah, that'll be it. Probably all the Train timetables would allow.

Meanwhile the US comes out hard against any possible idea of a ceasefire, if Xi dares to come up with the idea while talking with Putin and Zelenskyy over the coming days.

Strange times.

The US has stated that a likely ceasefire is only in Russian interests - as it would allow them time to rebuild, restock and fortify their positions, and would also help legitimise the capture of Ukrainian territory.

They aren't against the idea of a ceasefire, but only one that reasserts Ukrainian sovereignty over it's territory. Which isn't going to happen.

"Xi commended Putin's "strong leadership" and said he was sure the Russian people would re-elect him at Russia's 2024 presidential election"

What a piss taker. Yeah I predict Putin will get 118% of the vote with people 50 years dead voting for him.

an unimportant randomer called John Kirby.

Who said this

what we have said before and we’ll say it again today that if coming out of this meeting, there’s some sort of call for a ceasefire, well, that’s just going to be unacceptable because all that’s going to do, Mike, is ratify Russian’s conquest to date. All that’s going to do is give Mr. Putin more time to refit, retrain, re-man and try to plan for a renewed offensive at the time of his choosing.

We hope and we said this before that President Xi will call and talk to President Zelenskyy because we believe that the Chinese need to get the Ukrainian perspective here.

Not against ceasefire, but against one which China might propose based on ratifying Russia's territorial gains to date.

Hopefully Biden isn't so easily taken in.

Russia is right today because the USA did things wrong in the past.

Russia have never done anything wrong.  But if they did,   the USA has done much worse.

The destruction of Russian Cruise missiles within Russian occupied Crimea is likely to annoy Vlad!

And the fact that it happened during Vlad's dinner with his authoritarian mate is even better. The trolling from Ukraine knows no bounds.

When will the lesson be learned?

When will the lesson be learned?

How many more dictators must be wooed, appeased - good God, given immense privileges - before we learn?

You cannot reason with a tiger when your head is in its mouth.
