Justine Greening has announced she's not going to stand at the next election, and Hammond says he'll sue the Government if he's deselected.

Moderate Tories fighting against the leadership...  Not a good look.

Lib Dem’s announced it that she was “booted out” the party

For anyone who may be interested (or really geeky), the Court of Session case is available live on the BBC Scotland website:

Quote

Watch live as judge Lord Doherty hears arguments over the prime minister's plan to shut down the UK Parliament.

From Court of Session:

Government told court that the review was 'academic and premature' but there is an email in documentation (apparently appended to an affidavit in the Miller case to be heard on Thursday) from Nikki da Costa showing that they were discussing the precise timing of the prorogation on August 15th.

Edit: Also on this -

Legal aid ?

He's wealthy so if he wants access to justice he can afford it...unlike the people who've been denied this as a result of cuts he gleefully implemented.

It is certainly true that many people are being deprived of access to justice following the legal aid cuts

I see the Russians are at it again on Facebook

Originally run by local activists, these pages - which number 116 in total - are now being coordinated by a well-resourced group which provides the network with funding, training and advanced technical support.

In the last seven months, Scientists for EU has spent more than £100,000 on what its founder, Mike Galsworthy, calls "professionalisation".

What time do we think the EU will announce that there is no extension to the October 31st. Deadline ?

"The EU" can't make this announcement. Any extension will have to come from the Council, agreeing unanimously, who are currently dispersed between 27 countries. The UK haven't requested one yet either.

Unless there's a clear and convincing reason ("Please don't waste this time") that an extension will be met with progress by the UK, there won't be another one.

This is only true if you consider the poor to be people, rather than a scourge. Tory loophole.

Scientists for the EU are a UK based campaign group, run by real people from the UK, I'm failing to see the connection to a country exerting an influence campaign designed to disrupt this countries democratic process by speaking lies and fake news.

True, although Hammond is not a 'moderate Tory' on (m)any issues except Brexit.

Yeah, came to write this.

Mad how Brexit has made big C Tories into 'Moderates'.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_interference_in_the_2016_Brexit_referendum

Quote

There are ongoing investigations into Russian interference in the 2016 Brexit referendum[1] being undertaken by the UK Electoral Commission, the UK Parliament's Culture Select Committee, and the United States Senate, on alleged Russian interference in the "Brexit" referendum of 23 June 2016.[2] This has raised questions over the legal validity of the referendum.[3]

With 61 references.

Interesting definition of a myth there.
