Another major U-turn from these clearings in the woods, this time on HS2. Disgraceful abandoning of the north, after promising so much to win votes.

No doubt next time they'll make another round of promises they'll have no intention of keeping. Just standard Boris things.

First Laura, now this - the Beeb have had the leash taken off - someone high up in television centre is preparing the way.

It's always entertaining when a story is so damaging, they can't even get one of the junior ministers from the cabinet to discuss it, so have to bring in one of the patsies from the Northern Powerhouse(tm) to take one for the team. I sometimes have a tinge of sympathy but then remember that even an MP as woefully out of their depth as that gets £82k a year.

If there was a new tube line, from Leeds, through Bradford, Halifax, Rochdale and on in to Manchester, it would be the same length as the TFL Central Line.

That’s the gulf we’re dealing with.

Then there's the billions of pounds in extras you have to stuff into the offshore accounts of the Brexit Prime Minister's incompetent chums.

I guess we have to give them a fair period of time to buy up the land that they would then compulsory purchase from themselves.

Then we’d have to give them time to make sure they were drafted in as consultants to all the right planning consultancies and consultants to all the right land law consultancies. Then consultancies with all the big labour recruitment consultancies.

There’s a fair bit of behind the scenes logistics for these big projects. People don’t appreciate how difficult it is to take your cut from every layer of the process.

They're privatising the NHS, you know?

When will the witless stop listening to Tory Brexit traitors?
