dont_do_it_doug.
Heck, I'm half happy we're going down. It seems much of the squad feels that way, too. I don't agree. The way they trudged off last weekend, knowing it was all over, they care. A lot. They're just not good enough for this division as a collective. I feel sorry for them myself. I believe they were hung out to dry to some extent.

The fact is they have covered less miles than any other premier league side which alone demonstrates they are not putting the effort in. Personally I hope a majority of them flop in all their future careers. I dont think many of them give a damn about the club or the fans
Popular Post YLN
23 minutes ago, dont_do_it_doug. said: Heck, I'm half happy we're going down. Newcastle were shown on Sky 15 times in that season they went down. I'm not sure we have the same draw as Newcastle, because we don't like our Number Nines as much as they do, but maybe we'll get similar. And there are other channels that show Live Championship, but they are almost definitely just showing the same matches as Sky. But maybe not, with that new 'Live Fibre' thing that has been brought in to all Championship grounds. Yeah we'll lose some of our good players, but we'll also win a few more games, and maybe we'll think that the players that are good for us in the Championship are even better than the players we had to let go. We'll say things like, 'if only we had him last season we wouldn't have gotten relegated', and 'I know it's only the Championship, but he has the ability to make it in any league in the world'. Shit like that. Maybe we'll get some likeable players. Some new heroes. With personality and character. Players who have been let go from Premier League teams and who have the bit between their teeth to try and prove the manager that let them go wrong, rather than what we have now, which is a group of players who have 'made it' to the Premier League. We'll have happiness and optimism that is on unstable ground and built with playing cards, but that has to be better than what we have now - knowing that we're just too crap to be in this league. And we don't have Harry Rednapp as our manager. And we don't have Alan Curbishley. And even though the guys at the top may indeed be unfit for purpose and possibly clueless, they'll have less money and we'll have a little bit of our club back as a result, because the attendances and merchandice will make up more of the revenue. And maybe watching Villa on a laptop every weekend wasn't the be all and end all. It was a great treat to have a live game on Sky that I could go to a pub to watch, or into my uncle's house, but now that every game is live, it takes a lot of the good out of it. The regularity of it makes it become more like a chore than a treat. Now we're back to watching Jeff Stelling and the boys, or that thing on BBC, or maybe the live score app on my phone. Like checking the teletext for the scores and scorers. It'll have nostalgic value, which is fun. See there's a goal, waiting for the scorer to come up - Joachim 64 I'll miss being in the Premier League for a number of reasons, but in most ways we haven't properly been in the league for a long time. No more than passengers, or punctuation in the list of fixtures and results. Like travelling on holidays to Barbados, and spending the entire time in the airport toilets.

They signed for Villa. That alone makes me inclined to like them. I just tend to think they're ready for the championship. They'll be happy to be there in the end. And there will be cup ties, etc., so it's not like they won't have a chance to face more elite players ever.
Zatman
in fairness getting out of the Championship isnt that difficult, Neil Lennon is doing a fine job of it at the moment

And there will be certain ... let us say, "temptations" ... that will seem alluring from here. What if my eyes begin to wander? Will my heart stay true? (Even THINKING this is a bad sign, I suspect.) An AVFC fan gets lonely here. I suspect the only solution will be a pilgrimage to VP next season, so that I can get my head sorted. I went to Villa Park for the first time in 15 years for the Man City game, I still got goosebumps lol. I joined this board shortly there after, it really ignited my fire again. The only other time I saw them live was when MoN was the manager and we played the Columbus Crew pre season, forget what the year was, but we had just signed Nigel Rio Coker.

Not one of them gives a flying ****, they are lazy, unprofessional and totally useless. After their performances against Norwich and Sunderland their wages should be withheld. As previously stated, we run less than any other team in the league which explains a lot. Hopefully they all **** off in the summer, the worst team ever to play in the premier league. useless
I'm nothing 'special' there are times when I think there's no coming back from this black hole. But then I think, just one win, even if it's a lucky one and some shrewd signings and our season could really start to kick-on. A couple of wins and the believe back in the fan-base, then who knows what's possible.
dounavilla
It's not impossible. It's possable , that is a fact. However is it Probable ? Probably as about as Probable as me signing for Real Madrid and breaking Ronaldos goal record.
Rugeley Villa
if we can get 6 points from our next two games or 7 points from our next three then im listening and i will admit we have half a chance. but i just cant see it and knowing our luck if we do get those points the teams above us will too. Keyblade
Maybe a big win this weekend can kickstart a run of form? Luckily we still have 18 games. A couple of wins on the bounce can put us within touching distance if other results go our way. From there we can slowly whittle down the gap. Demitri_C
Well todays mirror is saying we are preparing for life in championship by targeting championship experienced players, and ones coming to end of contract so as we all said they all know we are down thats why they are playing like losers. So expect crap signings like richardson and senderos again
