I do wonder if Tim didn't fancy Ade (despite the facials) after speaking to him and we've switched to Gestade and the huge wages is going elsewhere. Mad, this transfer window. Would have never have had thoughts like that in the past few years. Gloriously mad. I don't know if these players are any good or not, but it's exciting to see. I'm quite sure sherwood won't be after lescott for 1 season, he will be looking at someone who will be here long termLike Adebayor? I can see the benefit of bringing in an experienced, quality centre-back, even if he has no sell-on value. Lescott and Richards at the back is better than any pairing we can currently out together, and would give us some needed stability in a very attacking team. Any idea how much he cost? I think we're up to about £43.5m so far.
