limvillian
Brad Guzan made available for £3m as mass exodus at Aston Villa continues USA international Brad Guzan is expected to leave Villa Park this summer Tim Sherwood wants to sign a new goalkeeper after Shay Given's exit Liverpool-bound Christian Benteke will undergo a medical on Monday Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3167055/Brad-Guzan-available-3m-mass-exodus-Aston-Villa-continues.html#ixzz3gKwp3KKZ Follow us: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook Aston Villa are willing to listen to offers for goalkeeper Brad Guzan as they continue to undergo major changes this summer. Manager Tim Sherwood signed his fifth player of the current transfer window when £10million French Under 21 defender Jordan Amavi agreed to join from Nice on Saturday. But with fans still unhappy at losing captain Fabian Delph to Manchester City and the anticipated departure of Christian Benteke to Liverpool, the Villa boss is planning more ins and outs. +5 USA international Brad Guzan will be allowed to leave Villa Park this summer after falling out of favour +5 Guzan, who is currently on international duty with USA at the Gold Cup, has been made available for £3m +5 Shay Given, who replaced Guzan as Villa No 1 at the end of last season, has joined Stoke City High on his priority list is a new goalkeeper with Guzan being made available for £3million. The 30-year-old American, who earns £34,000-a-week, lost his place to Shay Given after a blunder against Manchester City in April and was left out of the FA Cup final defeat against Arsenal. Villa have already signed Micah Richards, Scott Sinclair, cover goalkeeper Mark Bunn, £7million midfielder Idrissa Gueye and left back Amavi, and lost Darren Bent, Enda Stevens, Andreas Weimann, Matt Lowton, Yacouba Sylla, Antonio Luna, Ron Vlaar and Given. In addition to Guzan, Villa will also allow Bulgarian international Aleksandar Tonev to find a new club. He played on loan at Celtic last season. The high level of transfer activity has left Villa fans worried about the start of the new season having narrowly avoided relegation in May. They were incensed earlier this week when Delph initially turned down an £8million move to City only to change his mind on Friday. Liverpool have matched Benteke's £32.5million buy-out clause and the Belgian striker is expected to complete his move to Anfield imminently. +5 Christian Benteke will undergo a medical at Liverpool on Monday before finalising a £32.5m move to the Reds +5 Left back Jordan Amavi (left), seen here playing in May, has joined Aston Villa from Ligue 1 side Nice http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3167055/Brad-Guzan-available-3m-mass-exodus-Aston-Villa-continues.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490 Don't get why we are so determined to be rid of him, surely even as a number 2?! Got to be more to it than just "that" mistake. Not saying there is any truth to that article but maybe Guzan has been told we are looking for a new number 1. He doesn't fancy being a second choice after finally making no.1 with the USA or the club think £3m and his wages off the bill would be good business as they would be happy with Bunn to do the job of no.2 for much less wages? Supervillan78
Well £3m for Guzan seems a little low, plus who would be his replacement?
VillaChris
Basle just started their season Vaduz in the Swiss league, game is on the Bet 365 website so am watching to see if Embolo plays, don't think he's started. Actually yes he's playing...just hit bar but was offside. Looks a proper beast. Edited July 19, 2015 by VillaChris
Mantis
Amazing how our starting 11 could soon feasibly be made almost entirely up of players signed this calendar year: --------------New GK-------------- Bacuna-Richards-Clark-Amavi ---------Gueye--Darder--------- Sinclair--------Praet--------Gil -------------New striker------------- Edited July 19, 2015 by Mantis

VillaChris
Just can't believe Bournemouth would sell him...once in a lifetime opportunity in the premier league and you sell your leading scorer, don't see it. Next summer probably yes.

AVTuco Posted July 19, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted July 19, 2015 Oulare looks promising - looks like he can think quickly as per that video and he can pass the ball. I'm in. Likewise. That assist at about 2 min. 30 is amazing. I don't remember any Benteke videos from before he joined the Villa showing class like that. We'll be lucky to get this bloke. I don't really want to watch it. Just gets my hopes up, and one of the following happens 1. We don't get him in, and if we do, 2. He'll end up like Tonev. More likely to end up like Benteke, as you'd agree if you were to bother to actually watch the video Mind you, that comes with its own heartache. Oh now you've done it! Making me watch that video has made me crazy again, and it's your fault! We need to get this guy, he'd be perfect. You can't really judge his shot, but he's strong, fast enough, got good skills for such a big man, good header, can make a great pass... him and Adebayor - sold.

limvillian
Callum Wilson's goals from last season!! He is one lethal finisher We have been linked with him again this morning, i posted the link last night on herehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ugSzMwdArKc I've never been so uninspired watching a fella score 20 goals . Defending was awful in most. Every time he dribbled with the ball it seemed to bobble off a shin or knee. Even his assists were usually misplaced behind or in front of the player where they had to change their run completely to recover the chance. Popular Post Rob182
I reckon while the players have been on holiday, Tim has spent weeks on Football Manager perfecting the art of the transfer window. His current approach seems very similar to mine when I play FM.... "Morning lads, welcome back to training. First things first, I'm going to split you into two teams, here are the team sheets, have a good look.... 'Team A', you gather over here with me. 'Team B', empty out your lockers and sling your hooks. I've decided to sell all 14 of you as I'd rather have money in the bank than you in the squad..." "That's right Aleksander, keep on walking. Honestly, if I sell you for just £50k, that's still less than we'll spend on collecting all your practice shots from the A45".
PaulC
Wilson is a player i really like. For me he was the best striker in the championship last season. Bags of pace, holds the ball up well and scores goals.
sharkyvilla
£3m for Guzan? I don't see why we are so desperate to get rid of him. If Ospina is still available then I'd take him as he's rumoured to be worth a similar amount but other than that getting a guaranteed better keeper will cost a lot. villanwesty88
Maybe Vincent Enyeama, Lille's goalkeeper or Loris Karius from Mainz - he was being tracked by Arsenal and Dortmund!
Popular Post Rob182
This Oulare fellow.....does he know the offside rule......if he does, then he is already one step ahead of Benteke. Or one step behind, maybe?
