Vlaar will start. Think Okore will be dropped which is just wrong.

If Okore gets dropped there's going to be training ground drama at precisely the worst possible time.

Lambert needs to show he's the boss and have Vlaar fight for the right to start. No starting place should be guaranteed to anyone.

Paddypower are offering new customers 12/1 on a Villa win and your stake back in free bets if they dont win!

Max bet is only a tenner but still, could be a nice £120 for xmas at zero risk

Seasoned gamblers please explain to me what catch I am missing

FWIW I thing Villa are going to beat them anyway, especially with Anichebe, Olsson and Brunt out

They will probably pay out cash at the standard price and top up the winnings in free bets up to £120

Couldn't agree more, would be madness if Vlaar walks straight back in.

I agree, I didn't think I would be saying it before Vlaar got injured, but he has to work hard to displace either Clark or Okore really. A lot of people seem to think he'll be gone in Jan, I hope not though.

Okore MUST start ..... dropping him would be a disaster on many levels. He will be a better player than Vlaar and dropping him during a run of good form would send out real bad signals to him.

Leave the two CBs as they are please.

I can't believe it, but I sinceely hope Vlaar is not quite ready yet. What a turn of events. I have been a loyal supporter of his, and still am. But the younger ones need games and are doing well, so they should continue. Lambert will put Vlaar straight in if he's fully fit, I'm afraid.

Thing I Never Thought I Would Say One Year Ago:

  1. Alan Hutton is a serious contender for player of the season
  2. Ron Vlaar should not get a start ahead of Okore and Clark
  3. Ashley Westwood's set piece delivery has been excellent this season

Quite unbelievable when you think about the statements!

3-1 Villa Grealish to score

3-0 loss.

Richardson in for Westy

Please leave Okore and Clark in the first 11.

Weimann in for N'zogbia

Why Richardson and not Delph ?         not a criticism but a question

Because Delph is only just getting back from injury. I'd rather not risk him as he wont be match fit.

You mean for Villa right? Not in Premier League terms?

No, I mean for Villa. He's great for us but he's no Sergio Aguero. :)
