Kingman Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Jingle bells, Jingle bells, Jingle all the way… Oh what fun it is to see the Villa win away!..
krisagg75 Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Huge game. especially for them.we win this and i think we'll be ok this season in that i don't think we'll be in the middle of a relegation fight.we win though and you gotta think irvines gone.
Rodders Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 pressure slightly lessened thanks to back to back wins, hopefully we can play with more freedom and exploit nerves on their behalf. Will also depend on injury situations, if Cleverley and Westwood are out, and with Nzogbia failing to resemble a footballer at present how does the midfield line up? Sanchez Bacuna Richardson Grealish Wiemann Benteke Agbonlahor ? Or bring Herd in and keep Jack on the bench?
Dirtysanchez Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 There is no chance Herd should be ahead of Jack, huge game for both sides. Reckon Irvine will be sacked if we win
foreveryoung Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Attack attack attack! Don't let us down with a defensive set up Lambert.
pacbuddies Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 A draw wouldn't be a bad result away in a local derby but a win would be massive and put some clear daylight between us and the relegation threatened teams. 2
NoelVilla Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Haven't seen WBA this season but Im confident that Okore can handle Berahino and if he does, Hutton will score a hat-trick. 4
Milfner Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Chance to win three in a row for the first time since April 2010. Jesus. 1

Assuming Cleverley and Westy are out then maybe he'll use Bacuna and Richardson and seek to perhaps bring Grealish on later in the game depending on how its going. Would be great to see Grealish given a starting role but cant see PL doing that.
troon_villan Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 I've not been massive fans of either player but you gotta laugh as both Westwood and Cleverley would have been perfect for this game! Sanchez and Richardson as a CM pair doesn't fill me with glee. At least the latter has plenty of premier experience which is key in these derbies!
HanoiVillan Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 A difficult decision coming up here. In a different game, I'd go with a midfield diamond: -------------Sanchez---------------- --Bacuna-----------Richardson--- -------------Weimann--------------- Weimann could be replaced by N'Zogbia, if the latter actually looked any good at all. But it obviously runs the risk of being outmuscled by Albion if they pack the midfield, so maybe we'll just play a straight midfield three of: ----Bacuna------Sanchez-------Richardson-- But then ball retention is going to be a huge problem. To be honest, I can see us getting overrun.

To be honest, I can see us getting overrun. I think Weimann should be given a show here. He works really hard both defensively and offensively which I believe we need in order not to get overrun in the midfield. shame about our injuries in the middle ahead of this fixture as our options aren't exactly ideal. Would like to see Grealish given a start and a chance to really kick it, but I think Richardson will be given that spot ahead of him. Big game indeed, but I think we'll be able to snag it in the end. Especially considering how desperate WBA will be for the win.
Richard Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 -------------------------Goose Hutton-----Okore------------Clark-----------Cissy Richardson---------Cleverley-------------Sanchez Weimann-----------Benteke--------------Agbonlahor
Jimzk5 Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 2-2 draw. We'll be winning going into the 88th minute then lescott will equalise with his abnormally large forhead.
KJT123 Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Don't know why, but not very confident about this one.
flamingsombrero Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Too close to call. Fancy Benteke to be among the goals in this one, hopefully it'll be enough.
BleedClaretAndBlue Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 No way we win 3 in a row. They'll be up for it. 1-1 is what my head tells me. Hope Benteke destroys them. Couple years back the front 3 of CNZ, Gabby & Tekkers worked a treat. Lets hope for a repeat if Charlie pulls his finger out
Grasshopper Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 -------------------------Goose Hutton-----Okore------------Clark-----------Cissy Richardson---------Cleverley-------------Sanchez Weimann-----------Benteke--------------Agbonlahor Nearly Cleverley - Sanchez - Richardson
Ponky Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 I would play Lowton at CM. I've always felt he has a better future as a midfielder than as a defender. He is also our best crosser. 1
