villadude
You know, it's the "I'm a better fan than you" bollocks that puts me off using this site at times. If people don't want to renew their tickets, or even become a first time ST holder, it doesn't make them any less a fan than those who choose to attend games, kin give it a rest will ya!

skarroki
Not renewed and not planning on it. This has been my first season ticket and I thoroughly regret it. Seem to get better value paying for matchday tickets, and the home form and general football makes me annoyed at what else I could have spent the £500+ on during weekends. Will inevitably end up going to most if not all home games next year but I can't justify committing to another 19 games with so much uncertainty around the club
smetrov
Im seriously thinking of returning mine for a refund. I don't expect much [i even enjoyed last season !] - But I can see a doomsday scenario unfolding -

Popular Post MakemineVanilla
I don't really get the modern obsession with the necessity of buying a season ticket as a mark of loyalty. Previous generations never bought season tickets. Back in the day when a club earned its money through the turnstile it obviously helped cash-flow but these days it is a diminishing proportion of a club's income. Villa are about to receive £72m for finishing 15th. The size of Villa's crowds over the last three years has had no bearing on how much was spent on the team and the club has just taken the fact that crowds have held up as a green light to make further cuts. Buying a season ticket or not does not have any affect on the way clubs' behave, so why bother? Every time they move a fixture they prove that they care more for the guy paying for his Sky subscription than the real fans. Why doesn't the club offer discounts to ST holders when they move a fixture and makes it impossible to attend? No one needs to buy a ST for a club like Villa because the ground is never full these days and is unlikely to be while their football product is so poor.

nazvfc
I've renewed today - 52nd consecutive year of going to the Villa - Highs and Lows (lots of lows that we have succumbed even when things looked bleaker than they are now). Roll on new season. Can't wait! Has anyone had their cards delivered yet? August 1st onwards - was told today!
