Dodgyknees
Watching the Cardiff game right now... 1) There is a lot of space in behind their defence. 2) We should get somebody to run at Fabio all game. 3) We should play Weimann in behind Benteke and Gabby Bacuna - Vlaar - Clark - Bertrand Delph - KEA (Because he is always running about and chasing the ball) Albrighton (Get him drifting left and right, putting crosses in and balls through) Weimann Gabby - Benteke I think we will do well If we use these players, we can change the system to suit.
Danwichmann
I'd go along with that. Albrighton simply has to play after today and Westwood is offering nothing at the moment. Sadly, I'm quite sure Westwood will start.
Villain4Life
Any chance Vlaar will be available? ... One can always hope.
Popular Post OutByEaster? Posted February 8, 2014 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted February 8, 2014 I'd like to see us go 4-4-2 for this, but I struggle to get a team that works that way. First up, lets stick with Guzan. ------------------------------Guzan-------------------------------- Two crosses a season doesn't make you a defender and personally I think we lose more playing Lowton than we gain by playing Bacuna in midfield; right now Lowton is a goal a game liability. Bertie looks solid enough down the left and unless Vlaar is available to replace Baker, I think we go: Bacuna----------Clark----------------Baker---------Bertrand Now, I'd like to go 4-4-2 with Gabby and Tekkers up top, but if you do, you're left in a quandry. In midfield, I'd play Albrighton down the right, and then you want your energy in the middle - Delph is an absolute miles ahead of our other midfielders, so he picks himself, then personally, I'd go with KEA. Sylla would be second choice and I just don't think that Westwood has the energy or mobility to play in a midfield two. That's three of them then, and we're on to the left side of midfield - best left sided midfielder in the squad by a mile? Fabien Delph. We could move him from the middle, but I really don't fancy a KEA--Sylla combo in there. So we're left with not playing Gabby up front or picking a player who thus far has shown he's nowhere near the level required for this division - Tonev. Best bet - Jack Grealish. Likelihood - zero. So from where I'm sat, we can't play 4-4-2 because we don't have enough decent midfielders. So 4-3-3 it is, with the back four we've already picked, Gabby, Benteke and Albrighton and then a midfield three of Delph, KEA and one more. Take your pick from a lost and confused Weimann who isn't really a midfielder, a lost and confused Tonev who isn't really much of anything, Sylla or Westwood - personally I'd go with Gardner, simply on the basis that he can't be worse than we've got, or if Herd is fit, I'd pop him in there. I'd like to see: ----------------------------Guzan------------------------------- Bacuna-----------Clark------------Baker----------Bertrand -------------KEA---------Gardner-------Delph---------------- Albrighton-----------------------------------------------Gabby ----------------------------Benteke------------------------------ Although "like" might be pushing it. Pray for Vlaar.
Electric Avenue
If vlaar plays I think we will win 3-1 Without him routine 2-0 for Cardiff
Jimzk5
A re run of the Fulham game at craven cottage coming up, were expected to show up and have a good game only to actually show up looking like a Sunday league side that's been on the piss all night 2-0 defeat.

villalad21
I think this will be the game which decides wheter we go down or survive. Massive game.
foreveryoung
Ain't they lost 5 in a row now.......For that reason I'll go 2-0 Cardiff, us giving Zaha the space to look like he has come from Barca. Naughty Punch from Bellamy off the ball in the Swansea game, might get a ban if thats looked at after the game. Thats one positive, cause if not he's playing he is bound to score against us. KSV
We play better when bacuna is right back. Lowton is a liability. Vlaar and Bertrand in doubt? Hopefully their both fit. Westwood is so overrated. Being saying it for ages. He offers nothing and his set pieces are useless. I would play albrighton (don't know why he was dropped in the first place). Gabby on the other wing. Wiemann in the hole behind Benteke. Delphi kea in midfield. 4411 formation

sonic_bouma
Live on tele this one. Time for us to bend over for Cardiff and supply the lube for Zaha to tear us a new arsehole. All in front of the nation.
AVTuco Posted February 9, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted February 9, 2014 I don't know which formation I would like to see. Bacuna at RB, Lowton in front of him. Albrighton, Andi and Gabby all in. Other than that, I don't know. Just win. UTV!!!
