Outside of McGeady's shot against the post, Everton's efforts have been very tame. Agree - obviously anyone can make a mistake, any attacker can have a bit of genius, but we do look solid. Without Lukaku's strength we can quite happily sit deep without having to worry too much about Mirallas running in behind, because we are winning everything in the air. Some might call that negative but I think it's tactically astute. Whenever we break we look likely, for the goal we invited Baines forward and exploited the space he left behind very quickly when Delph put in that excellent tackle. Ironically, our counter attacking play hasn't been that good so far - we've played a number of poor balls in good positions, but the way we set up and then frustrate teams is so good that we've been able to get by with just one good attack.
