Agreed. I love winter, always have done.

I'll admit it does get to be a bit of a drag in Feb/Mar.

I love the blue sky, crisp, cold winter weather.
I hate the more mild, grey, damp winter weather.

Hardly anything in the north west as usual. Kids disappointed again.

Makes you wonder if we have microclimate up here.

My daughter was the same though, went to sleep excited, woke up pissed off with not a drop in sight.

A "major incident" has been declared in Cumbria after heavy snowfall, with police urging people not to travel on Sunday unless necessary.

Quite a lot at 3am this morning, but clearing now.

I could probably scrape up all the snow in my street and fit it in a mug.

Must have been a bit more over this way.

I went outside to make a path from the house to the gate so we’re not totally trapped. I did the same last night and it was already gone. It’s mad, it’s like we have a walled path made of snow. I went to grab something from the garden and it went past my knees in the drifts

Proper snow that. Everything would be closed here if that happened.

One of the roughest  days at work for a while in terms of weather. Cold , wind , rain one of those moments where I thought why didn’t I do well at school so I could be an office boy fanny but quickly knocked them daft thoughts out my head and told myself I’m a man .

My Dad (blue collar to his toes) was unswerving in his advice to me to be an office boy fanny.
