theboyangel Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 I'd look at the following line-up(s) 3-5-2 ......................Guzan .............Clark.Vlaar.Baker Bacuna..............................Luna .............KEA.Delph.Sylla .............Benteke.Gabby 4-2-3-1 ................Guzan Bacuna.Vlaar.Clark.Luna .............Delph.KEA Weimann.Tonev.Agbonlahor ...............Benteke 1
daggy_333 Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 I'd choose that 3-5-2 one given the choice.
samjp26 Posted October 23, 2013 Author Posted October 23, 2013 I look forward to seeing Bacuna tested against Baines, who will no doubt be trying to attack down that flank against him. If Bacuna can keep him quiet we'll probably start to see people rave about him.
BOF Posted October 23, 2013 Moderator Posted October 23, 2013 FFS forgot all about Lukaku !I'm the opposite. For me it was always Villa v Lukaku
Wainy316 Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Lukaku has a head start with the better service he will receive.
BOF Posted October 23, 2013 Moderator Posted October 23, 2013 Lukaku has a head start with the better service he will receive. And his match fitness. But we're at hom..... actually never mind
Kingfisher Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 (edited) …....................Guzan........................ Lowton....Vlaar.........Clark.........Luna ...........Bacuna..............Sylla.............. ...Gabby.......Westwood........Delph.... .......................Benteke...................... Edited October 23, 2013 by Kingfisher
BOF Posted October 23, 2013 Moderator Posted October 23, 2013 Imagine having both in our team. Yeah the Belgian manager must think he's playing fantasy football with an unlimited budget at the moment :-)
Zatman Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 We're so shit. I expect us to lose this one 2/3 nil. Try and scrape a point. yet we have played 5 better teams and only 1 game lost by more than 1goal
The Fun Factory Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 I dont think there will be huge changes for Everton other than Benteke in as Lambert rightly or wrongly sounded fairly upbeat after Sunday. I would say there is a case for maybe starting Sylla and Tonev for Weimann and KEA/Westwood, but I dont think he will do it.
Rugeley Villa Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 im a massive fan of benteke he is a beast, but im also a huge fan of lukaku who is equally as good and is also a beast, going to be a tight game but I think its got a draw written all over it,
AVTuco Posted October 23, 2013 VT Supporter Posted October 23, 2013 Lukaku vs Benteke Benteke must be pumped up for this game. He has to show this Lukaku boy who's the boss. And i believe he will.
Rovers13 Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Benteke looked so pumped to play against Spurs when he came out, he'll be similarly pumped for his first full 90 back. Should be fun. 1
JoshVilla Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Really not sure about how this will pan out. For me, Everton don't really have as much of a "fear factor" about them as other teams in the top half, regardless of the unbeaten run they had for a bit. Keeping Lukaku quiet will obviously be the main job, and this is the 2nd bloody time we'll have had to do that in fairly quick succession, with us playing Chelsea earlier on. Benteke will hopefully be back for the entire game which'll give us a better chance than Sunday, but I find it really difficult to predict how it'll pan out when we play Everton.
ForeroGabe Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 4-2-3-1 Bacuna vlaar Clark luna Delph Sylla(more strength) Tonev Weimann agbonlahor benteke
