  1. Like 90% of the people who work in marketing it will be both deserved and long overdue.
  2. 6 months of research and 10,000 people consulted? Whoever organised that should be shot. Draw up 10 different badges and then let fans pick the best one, don't send them a survey. It reminds me of when one Randy Lerner decided to redesign the badge of a club he owned and made a balls of it too.
  3. Could be a good thing. If we get relegated then we should be able to win the C league next time and qualify for the Euro's that way or at least have a much better chance of winning it.
  4. Terrible draw for Ireland. Two teams we just played twice, would have preferred some new teams.

    Liverpool

They knew how to play Liverpool, sit back and give them the ball and then Liverpool haven't a clue what to do. Klopp has no plan B.
  6. Went to see Hostile, it's dreadful. 45 minutes too long and the story has all the depth of the shallow end of a baby pool. Felt like something that was written by a 14 year old.
  7. Will they all be put on the Spanish "strength and conditioning" program ahead of the world cup?
  8. Went straight down the tunnel, should he not have gone into the blue tent to be independently assessed by non team doctor?
  9. Do Stoke and Leicester count as Midlands in England?
  10. Let's just worry about getting second. We won't be catching wolves.
  11. It's looking good at the moment but this is villa so take nothing for granted until we have the mythical '(R)' after our name in the league table.
  12. All players go to the team that pays them the most money. It's not anything strange and I don't really see why they get called mercenaries. It's just capitalism at work. The 'i want to play in the champions league' shite that players come out with is just code for I want more money.

    Liverpool

The gap is already there. It was a two horse race for title between the two Manchester clubs before the season started and the only club that *could* challenge them is Chelsea as they have an owner with deep pockets. For spurs, Liverpool and Arsenal they are a tier below and are in a fight with each other to finish fourth. It's not a top six as the sky propaganda would have you believe. It's a top three (although Chelsea are a bit disorganised) and then a secondary three and then the rest of the tat that makes up the best league in the world.
  14. Bayern mopping up any talent in the bundesliga for a pittance, nothing unusual there.
  15. Problem for Ronaldinho was he didn't have the hunger to really give 100% every week, and didn't live the life of a professional athlete (to say the least). If he had then he would have been one of the greatest of all time. But even at 50% he could still be the best player on the pitch in most games. Can't say I blame him, if I had half his skill and half his money I'd have built a tunnel from my house to my nightclub too.
  16. I'm not a FistFace fan by any means I have been hugely critical of him and his "non" style of play. However you have to say that we are right in the race for 2nd and if we sign Ulloa (as rumoured) then we really do have a big chance to get automatic promotion. The remainder of this season is make or break for Bruce. He'll either prove people like me wrong or he will fail but still have done enough to keep us in the playoffs.
  17. I think it's been the plan for sometime now for the Jags to move to London. Once Spurs's stadium is built then everything they need will be in place. The issue they will have is that they will have to play ~4 games at home in a row and then 4 on the road and so on but it's nothing that can't be overcome.
  18. Good stuff, the sooner you take action the better. If you let things fester than its much harder to fix them.
  19. Jesus what a collections of sub-par managers that is. One day we will appoint a good manager.
  20. His family live in Liverpool and are quite settled there by all accounts. I'm sure managing Newcastle suits him and his family life. Also it enhances his reputation as even if he fails nobody will blame him due to the ownership. He's a good defensive coach but isn't anywhere near as good as his reputation/clubs he's managed suggests IMO.
  21. Errr...they are completely different games maybe?
  22. Can he play right back? We badly need another one.
  23. Bruce mentioned this issue when he did his ankle in the first place (it's mentioned in this thread). Wouldn't surprise me at all if he never made it back.
  24. Sadly it's probably the going rate for someone like Walcott and that's before you take on his 120K a week salary. The game's gone.
