  1. Jô. Signed for decent money for city and was abysmal. Now playing his trade in Japan. He also got 20 caps for Brazil.
  2. They look lethargic too. There's no energy or pace about them. Just passing it around with no real tempo.
  3. Listening to a couple of football podcasts this week and everyone is tipping us to get past 'boro in the semi final. Kiss of death.
  4. Apparently they did, Guido Carrillo. I can't recall seeing him play but he has 1 goal in 7 appearances.
  5. He'll probably punch Bobby Charlton.
  6. I wondered about his uncharacteristic over the top reaction when they stayed up and then I remembered he was on a one million pound bonus to keep them up. I'd be that happy too if I just won a million quid.
  7. Not really. Austin can't stay fit and when he's fit he's painfully slow so needs chances created for him. Gabbiadini is also slow and doesn't really excel at anything and Long wouldn't score in a whore house. Tadic has talent but he's one of those players that you can't rely on. He has one good game in every 4 or 5.

    Arsenal

According to Brady that wasn't the case, he was forced out. I would suggest that it suits all parties for it to seem like Wenger is leaving of his own accord... and that they were right to sack him.

    Arsenal

Yep, Liam Brady (former Arsenal youth team director) confirmed it on Irish TV. He was forced out (sacked) by the owner, he didn't resign.
  10. Agreed. There's very, very little chance that he won't be our manager next season regardless of the league we are in.

And yet Wenger still thinks he's doing a great job and was going to stay on. The mind boggles.
  12. Going to be an interesting summer for man United. Lots of players there that mourinho doesn't like and he's on thin ice himself so it won't be clear cut that he gets the transfers he wants.
  13. Like the FA cup the Coupe de France used to be important. It's not any more.
  14. It's never been in use in the football league playoffs as far as I can remember. It's the advantage of playing at home second for the sides finishing higher. It makes sense and it's a good format. It's not listed here: https://www.efl.com/clubs-and-competitions/sky-bet-play-offs/playoff-rules--regulations/
  15. I can't wait for him to be gone.
  16. A draw would be a great result.
  17. It simply doesn't get any bigger than this. Apart from the second leg, and the final if we get there.
  18. if they have any sense they'll sack Lambert but then again if they had any sense they wouldn't have appointed him in the first place.
  19. The irish emile heskey. Runs around, holds the ball up but can't score for shite.
  20. I thought it was great. A proper Sci-Fi movie where you have to engage your brain. Much better than the terrible comic book films that pollute every cinema these days.
  21. Sad news, to lose both parents so close together must be awful. Definitely should be off until the playoffs start, forget about the game this weekend.
  22. We would also need to buy midfielders, wingers, full backs and centre backs. It's not just our strikers that aren't good enough.

    Arsenal

I don't think the two are connected. I don't have any inside information but it seems like Klopp had a falling out with him rather than him being tapped up for the Arsenal job. I imagine Klopp would have been happy to see him go to a big club as manager after working with him for 20 years. Arsenal will have to appoint an established manager, they can't afford to take a risk.
  24. Surely "the West Ham Way" will save them?
  25. To sign him we would have to sell Hogan and we would be lucky to get £6m for him. If we stay in the championship then it's likely that we will be stuck with Hogan again next season.
