  1. It's a funny one today. My head say's I would love to lose this game so that Gerrard gets the boot and we move onto better things. But realistically I want us to win the game, and not ruin my week with a wasted trip to Nottingham. Regardless of whether Gerrard stays or goes, this is a game we should be winning and it's a game that we'll look back on later in the season as a game we missed 3 points on if we don't take them. If we end up with a new manager in the second half of the season these 3 points could be vital to our final position. In my opinion Gerrard won't last the season, there are very few performances in his tenure that give me any hope that he can turn our current form around. And if I'm honest I don't want him to. But there are games to come where he can prove how inept he is, Chelsea next week can be a start. You only have to look at the perfomances of teams such as QPR, Brighton, Newcastle & Arsenal to see the difference a manager and club with a defined strategy can make. They are all on an upward trajectory whilst our club seem's to be falling away. Anyway on to 3 points, regardless of the performance that accompanies it.
  2. Grealish has been brilliant in the last few games. Nice to see him back to his best.
  3. One of the best series I've watched this year.
  4. I'm pretty certain the the round version will win. Fans have been calling for it to come back since the Ellis days. Even though it's not going to be the original, I'm pretty certain it will win any votes as long as it's not a horror show. It would have been good to have a few versions of a round badge. Let the fans have a few rounds of voting/discussions, before deciding. We don't want to be back in this situation in 5 years with fans calling for the original round badge or something daft.
  5. Having a fairly average/poor start to this season. Hoping that by holding the Wildcard it will pay off for me in a few weeks time, as most seem to have used theirs already.
  6. I know, I was there... Fan forums are in a bubble, but generally the mood online is the same as the mood of the fans at the games. A lot of fans applauded the players off the pitch yesterday, then moaned on the way out of the ground. The problem with this football club right now stems from the manager and the players, something needs to change.
  7. Sickened to watch the majority of the away end clap the players and manager off the pitch today. I don’t get it, we play like that and get applauded off. Despise Gerrard and can’t see a way forward for the club until he’s gone. The fans need to turn on him and fast, because Purslow will hold out as long as possible to his golden child.
  8. Start the kid up front next game Gerrards comments are a joke, despise the bloke.

    Energy Bills

It's a 2% increase, which isn't the end of the world. The rate I had before was incredibly low. However it's still a fair increase on monthly payments.
  10. The one thing I would suggest is riding it out until the date you can remortgage, early if possible, and then fix but extend the length of term to the maximum (I think it's 35 years). Obviously you'll pay off less of your mortgage. But it will reduce your costs, and if you fix for 2-3 years you can re-evaluate then. It's a way of ensuring you can afford to live and ride out the storm and you can always adjust the length of term at the next remortgage.

    Energy Bills

I'm in a really weird situation where I fixed until 2024, without even realising I had done it or how lucky I had got. We payed £92 a month for a year, and I've now been told due to the credit on our account our bills will be £28 a month until the end of the year. However the £66 a month has since been announced so I'm effectively going to pay nothing. On the other side of the coin, my mortgage fixed rate expired and next month I pay a much higher rate. You win some you lose some I guess.
  12. The sensible thing... Subscribe with Voxi or GiffGaff for £10 a month. Get a 0% credit card and purchase a phone outright; pay it off over 24 months. Try and sell your S9 for as much as possible and pay this off to offset some of the value of the new phone. This will work out cheaper than a contract, but takes a bit more effort. Rinse and repeat forever...
  13. Currently watching Dopesick on Disney+. Absolutely insane story. I genuinely can't stop thinking about it after I watch each episode. Superb stuff.
  14. I would hope we don't sell either Buendia or Bailey. Under a new manager, playing a normal formation with width, these player become key. We need to utilise them in the right way before writing them on completely. Traore should also be given a chance to come back in January, as we are very limited in wide players right now.
  15. Kamara's going for a scan today, and we've already got a January Transfer thread open to replace him. Chill...
  16. It will be a blow if he's out for a long period of time, no doubt about it. Kamara is an exceptional player. However a midfield from McGinn, Ramsey, Luiz, Dendoncker, Nakamba and Sanson should be enough to see us through. It's as strong as other squads in this league. We've hardly pulled up any trees in the first 7 games of the season, and we won't be competing for Europe so we'll have to take it as it comes. Dendoncker is a new signing and can become important to the side, Sanson has the potential to become an important player if we give him the chance. My personal opinion is the midfield in generaly could improve under new management... but that's a different argument.
  17. I would be happy for Ings to start with Archer getting a good 20-30 minute cameo.
  18. Would like to see the below tomorrow: Martinez Guilbert Konsa Mings Digne Luiz Kamara McGinn Bailey Watkins Ramsey Ashley Young was brilliant against City but he's not an energetic player who can get forward for 90 minutes, we should be doing that in this game. Guilbert is in the squad now and should be given a chance to prove himself with Cash out. Konsa/Chambers is up for debate, but Konsa did well last week. Ramsey is another did well last week and should retain his place, he looks so much better in an advanced midfield role and can play wider when required.
  19. Steer is out still with his achilles
  20. Just watched the highlights. I watched him a few times last season when he was on loan at Cheltenham, he looks like a much better player this season. The loan last season seems to have served him well for his development. Good to see him improving and becoming the player many at the club believe he will be.
  21. He looks very different this season, Norwich has aged him...
  22. He's not coming back, don't kid yourselves. His ego wouldn't fit through the door these days.
