I can see Amavi leaving before the end of August, if this happens we should look to spend the money on a left winger and use De Laet as Taylor's backup when required. As someone said earlier a player to lift the crowd is what we need, like Ashley Young used to do. A bit like Knockaert did for Brighton last season. Hopefully Green can be that player for us this season if he can keep himself fit!

In fairness Jedinak looked good at CB last year. As a last resort he is more than adequate. With the choice of Elphick or Richards for 4th choice CB I would rather see Steve Bruce stick a pair of boots on.

Is anyone using TalkTalk for internet, phone and TV? They have some great deals on at the moment for all 3 with Sky Sports for 18 months. But I'm hesitant to go with them as I'm not sure on the quality of the service they provide. Just cancelled Virgin Media as moving house but don't really want to go back to them as the prices are ridiculous when including Sky Sports.

So just read that Aiden Flint is off to Leeds which must be why Baker to Bristol has happened out of the blue. I hope we have a plan for this, ideally a CB to come in to replace him as 3rd choice or a youngster ready to step up.

Ridiculous decision to sell, unless he wants out. I would imagine the chance to train and play with John Terry wouldn't mean that he is asking to leave. Terry, Chester, Baker, Samba would have been a brilliant choice of CB's for the season. Easily the strongest in the league.

What are the benefits of the away scheme? Is it guaranteed tickets to away games? As I say I can't find anything online.

Why is everything so last minute with our club?

Strange that people are against signing a left winger. I'm all for Green starting in the position this season, but how sure can we be that a) he's going to remain fit all season & b ) he's going to be consistent enough over the course of the season We then have no real backup at left wing... and as we have discussed previously any signings we make should be pushing for a first team place. It's all well and good saying Green should start in the position, but he should have competition for a starting place as should any other player in our squad. Grealish & Bjarnasson are weak on the left, stronger in other areas of the pitch Kodjia is a striker and should be played up front Amavi is our best option at left wing, but he was more of a backup option there last season than a first name on the sheet player

Not at all I just think there are some massive overreactions to signings at times. Players should be judged on their performances in a claret and blue shirt. Neil Taylor is the prime example of a player that many people didn't want who has turned out as one of the best signings from last season.
