  1. Time to throw him in up front with Grealish in behind him, giving Davis a rest. If it's not working, second half bring on Davis to play alongside him. This is the month we need him to prove his worth the most, otherwise he needs selling in January to help fund a scoring striker.
  2. Why would Hutton play at left back & where has Bree come from ahead of Elmo & Hutton at right back? Again why would Adomah move back to the right after being our best player of the season on the left, with Snodgrass being benched. Very strange... are you Eric Black in disguise?
  3. No it really couldn't... That team would currently be battling relegation with Blues
  4. Does this annoy you... sat at Chelsea’s training ground, in their training gear receiving treatment for his injury? Is this not what Bodymoor Heath is for?!
  5. I see the anti-Bruce brigade are back out in force as soon as we start losing a game... Poor first half but we can still get back into this, Whelan & Onomah have been poor. Grealish on for Onomah at half time to pick some passes out further up the pitch, bring Snodgrass, Adomah and Davis into the game. Lansbury for Whelan at some point for a bit more energy in the middle.
  6. Interested in this so did the digging... Adomah is currently on 8 goals this season in all competitions. Ashley Young managed to score 9 in 09/10 & 10/11 so Albert needs two more to beat that... I can't think of the last prolific winger we had prior to Young Midfield wise, Milner scored 12 in 09/10
  7. Great performance, wasn't expecting that after going behind early on. Davis was immense up top, everything stuck to him today. Snodgrass and Adomah were superb down either side and Onomah was brilliant on the ball driving forward with it. Back four were solid and Hourihane and Whelan did a great job shielding and moving the ball out. Solid 3 points, onto Tuesday!
  8. You've talked me into it! I haven't yet gone 4K so will have to make the TV & Xbox One X purchase over Christmas
  9. Anyone get their Xbox One X today? Is the difference majorly noticeable? I'm just looking for an excuse to part with my money.
  10. Players on a season-long loan can be recalled by parent clubs in the January transfer window but only if the two clubs have agreed a recall clause in advance. A loan deal can be cancelled at any time in the season if both clubs concerned agree.
  11. I've been wanting us to give a Hogan a chance for weeks now playing alongside Davis, unfortunately it didn't work and I don't think he's going to fit into our plans.
  12. The problem is, people have mentioned that he needs to earn a starting place, but bringing him on with 15 minutes to go and lumping long balls to him is not utilising him properly. Using him in this way will never bring the best out of him and he will never earn a starting place. The best chance we have of getting Hogan firing is playing him on day's like today (with Kodjia & Onomah missing) next to Davis who can hold the play up for him. If we aren't at least going to try this then we may as well put him up for sale now.
  13. Johnstone Hutton Chester Terry Taylor Elmo Whelan Hourihane Adomah Davis Hogan With the injuries to Kodjia, Snodgrass & Onomah I think this will be our starting line up. Tempting to throw O'Hare or Grealish in to play behind Davis but would prefer to see Hogan given a chance at home with the option to change it up at half-time. Think we will win this one today.
  14. Whilst Wolves are playing some really good football currently, if they were that good they would be winning every game and cruising the league. With a win today we are still only 6 points behind them. I think sometimes it's forgotten just how long a Championship season is, we are only 3 months in, with 6 months left to play. An example... Aston Villa 1998-99, playing arguably the best football in the league and sat at the top of the Premier League, halfway through the season we collapsed and finished up in 6th place. Wolves are likely to hit a patch of poor form (in my opinion this is most likely to happen during the winter period where some of there players aren't used to the weather and the amount of games in such a short space of time). For us we have players who are used to this and we need to take full advantage of it. Yes, some of our football is bland, boring and one dimensional. However this is the first time in a long time that we have a settled side picking up results, giving us a platform to build on. Add into that players returning from injury in Grealish, Lansbury & Kodjia (when fully fit) it gives us another option to change our style.
  15. As @Stevo985 just mentioned I don't think Bruce did approach this game any differently on Wednesday. The difference was that Davis up top held the ball up and brought players into the game. The aimless hoofing that has happened in recent away games, Blues for example, was happening, the ball wasn't sticking up top and then coming right back at us. If we are going to continue playing this way, and over the last 50 games Bruce has managed here it seems we will, he needs to play Davis up top to cope with the type of football he plays. If Davis can't play every game it could be argued that we need to pick up another target man in January, whether on loan or using money from the sale of players. For me Hogan doesn't suit the style of play we have unless he is played next to a player like Davis, however you then leave Kodjia out of the side.
  16. This is a worry, I thought it myself when the commentator mentioned it last week. CB we have Samba, Richards or a full back... not the greatest of options. LB we have a right back, to be fair Hutton has been magnificent though. Wingers we have Green & Grealish but both have fitness issues, otherwise its a case of sticking a CM or ST out wide. Our depth comes in to play in middle of the park, up top and at right back.
  17. He needs a player like Davis next to him up top to bring him into the game, the way we play its useless leaving him up on his own. Unfortunately for him Bruce is now just using him as legs to chase down in the last 15 minutes. Started to come into the game a bit at the end, his touches improved slightly, but overall not enough time to establish himself.
  18. Superb tonight, he's very much the dirty footballer that goes largely unnoticed in games. Gets around the pitch and restricts the opposition from moving the ball between midfielders and the forwarders.

    Keinan Davis

Agree with this, he brings players into the game and keeps the possession for the team. His passing accuracy was around 85% when he went off. Massive find from Bruce (whether it was luck with Kodjia out or not), but it makes you think what sort of an impact a fit RHM could also make as he was last season touted as the next big thing from our academy.
  20. Take back my pre match comments, we were magnificent tonight. Perfectly managed by Bruce throughout the game. We played some decent stuff at times, and then when the inevitable onslaught at the end came around we defended brilliantly. Against a better side we may have needed to take a few more of the chances we had, but 2-0 away from home you can hardly complain about too much. Terry, Hutton, Hourihane, Whelan and Davis all superb tonight.
  21. Disappointed and we havent kicked off yet, its going to be a long night. Criminal that a) Hutton is starting at left back even though Taylor is back and b ) Grealish, Lansbury & O'Hare haven't made the bench. Pretty annoyed that we haven't had the balls to go 4-4-2 and give Hogan a go as well.
  22. Can't wait for this game tonight... which means it will be a thoroughly depressing, dull game where we set up to not concede... Not that I'm a pessimist My choice of side would be: Johnstone Elmo Chester Terry Taylor Snodgrass Whelan Hourihane Adomah Hogan Davis For me 4-4-2 is the way to go here against what their fans are describing as a make-shift defence. It's last chance saloon for Hogan but I think he will massively benefit from having Davis next to him to bring down the inevitable long balls forward. The two of them together along with Adomah & Snodgrass should be able to do some real damage and alleviate the pressure on our own back 4. A bench consisting of at least 3 or 4 of Onomah, Jedinak, Grealish, Lansbury & O'Hare and we should have too much for Preston.
  23. Unchanged from last week then
