  1. Bacuna is a utility player, as a squad player and not a starter he isn't worth getting rid of. Granted he's not the best but he will put a shift in for you which is why he made as many starts as he did last season. For me as a backup CM I would rather have Bacuna on the bench than Gardner. Plus in the case of an injury crisis as we experienced briefly last season you have a player on the bench who can cover RB, RM & CM to a decent level.
  2. Can we just close this thread until after the first game of the season, it's gone round in circles for the last 2 months... I'm starting to find the Brexit debate more exciting than the Bruce In/Out one...
  3. If there was a chance of having Fabian Delph back at Villa we would be taking him regardless of the way he left. He would comfortably be the best midfielder at the club and would more than improve our chance of promotion. He has the drive that we have missed over the last 2 seasons. That being said there is no chance he is going to be dropping a division to sign for us. Neither is Ashley Young...
  4. Wouldn't believe twitter, he was on Instagram training at Chelsea's training ground this morning. I imagine he would need to be in Birmingham to sign for someone.
  5. What is everyone's views on a survey before moving into a house? Buying a house (first time buyer) which I will be renovating, structurally sound just needs updating/modernizing. The mortgage lender will obviously perform a survey, but would it be best to have another survey done independently? My thought's are the less I spend now the more I will have to get started with...
  6. You have too much time on your hands
  7. Wait till Sky get their hands on the fixture list...
  8. On Sky against Hull and then again against Colchester midweek. Will the Hull game be a midday kick off or a 5 o'clock one?
  9. I reckon we will be home first game of the season, down to the fact the baggies are at home on August 12th... Tough fixture at home first game (Boro, Sunderland, Hull) or take an easier one? Personally wouldn't mind taking on one of the better teams early on...
  10. All dependent on the contracts we offer them, one or two year deals for these players would suit us as they will do a job for us and then not sit on the wage bill as per Gabby, Richards etc. Colback is a very good player and of the mould that we have missed in recent years...
  11. Flint and Roberts are both good defenders but they haven't made the step up to the Premiership in their careers, most likely due to them not being good enough. If we are to gain promotion this season we would likely have to replace them... Meaning we are signing them for 1 season... I would much rather sign John Terry for 1 season, a proven quality Premiership player. We have talked about having a team full of losers; we now have the chance of bringing in a winner, someone who is used to winning and has a mentality that this club has missed. His personal life has nothing to do with his footballing ability, and on a saturday afternoon that's all I care about
  12. Looks like an upgraded Adama Traore, more skillful but just as selfish. Saying that I would rather take a gamble on a player like this than bring back Ashley Young for 100k a week.
  13. A few years ago we made Kolo Toure look like a world beater...
  14. Very much this, against some of the weaker sides at home we should be pushing forward instead of sitting back as we did last season.
  15. Could this potentially work... or would it be a bit RDM McCormack Kodjia Hogan Hourihane Jedinak Lansbury Taylor Baker Chester Bree GK
  16. Yeh might have jumped the gun on my conclusion... I saw a video of him training on his Instagram page. Boxing training and looked fairly comfortable on his feet, I would imagine he won't be far away in 2 months time.
  17. It's going to be unbearable if he chooses them over us, I would like to think we are the attractive offer as we are favourites for the title... but as we all know now money talks in football
  18. Kodjia back in training already! Should be ready for the start of the season, great news.
  19. If he can get himself fit in pre-season he could be vital for us next season. I can see him linking up with Hogan really well whilst Kodjia is out injured.
  20. Is there any news on a kit launch or release date?
