Is anyone using TalkTalk for internet, phone and TV? They have some great deals on at the moment for all 3 with Sky Sports for 18 months. But I'm hesitant to go with them as I'm not sure on the quality of the service they provide. Just cancelled Virgin Media as moving house but don't really want to go back to them as the prices are ridiculous when including Sky Sports.

So just read that Aiden Flint is off to Leeds which must be why Baker to Bristol has happened out of the blue. I hope we have a plan for this, ideally a CB to come in to replace him as 3rd choice or a youngster ready to step up.

Ridiculous decision to sell, unless he wants out. I would imagine the chance to train and play with John Terry wouldn't mean that he is asking to leave. Terry, Chester, Baker, Samba would have been a brilliant choice of CB's for the season. Easily the strongest in the league.

What are the benefits of the away scheme? Is it guaranteed tickets to away games? As I say I can't find anything online.

The Villa View mentioned the other week that the shirts you were given were player issue shirts so are a much tighter fit than the replica shirts on sale. You can stop with the salads now

Why is everything so last minute with our club?

Strange that people are against signing a left winger. I'm all for Green starting in the position this season, but how sure can we be that a) he's going to remain fit all season & b ) he's going to be consistent enough over the course of the season We then have no real backup at left wing... and as we have discussed previously any signings we make should be pushing for a first team place. It's all well and good saying Green should start in the position, but he should have competition for a starting place as should any other player in our squad. Grealish & Bjarnasson are weak on the left, stronger in other areas of the pitch Kodjia is a striker and should be played up front Amavi is our best option at left wing, but he was more of a backup option there last season than a first name on the sheet player

If we sell Amavi & Cissokho who will play at left back if Taylor is injured or suspended?

To be honest defensively Green couldn't do much worse than Amavi if played at wing back

Not at all I just think there are some massive overreactions to signings at times. Players should be judged on their performances in a claret and blue shirt. Neil Taylor is the prime example of a player that many people didn't want who has turned out as one of the best signings from last season.

Such an over-reaction to this signing on here, he's a squad player who can cover the entire right hand side of the pitch when required... Adomah is out at the start of the season so if we play with wingers Elmohamady will be the natural choice. Yes we have Bree, De Laet & Hutton at RB... but realistically De Laet is still working on coming back from injury, Hutton is slagged off on here every week and Bree is still unproven We don't have an endless pit of money, we aren't going to be buying better players in every area of the pitch in this window as we don't have the transfer budget or wage budget to do this.

Unfortunately I can't see us having two wide players to play with Adomah now injured, Green has been our best player in pre-season and could work through the middle drifting out wide when required with Hourihane & Lansbury moving forward. Jedinak dropping in at the back when the full backs go forward. For me we look more effective with Davis on the pitch as he can hold up play.

Realistically when you look at the squad and even the amount of players available in friendlies this season you can see we should be looking to offload players before we bring more in. There are at least 5 or 6 players that we should be looking to offload, if we can get bring in 2-3 players on lower wages than some of the players we have offloaded we are already in a better position. Does anyone know how much Tony Xia can invest himself through sponsorship that would be taken into account on FFP? For example Recon are now going to be displayed on the match day shirts, is it possible that he could have sponsored the club indirectly with 200 million meaning that FFP is not a danger for us for the foreseeable future?
