  1. When he played for us under lambert he was mainly in the middle three of the 433. I think if we were to get him anywhere near his best form (which is still erratic but effective on its day) he would have to play on the right of the front three. However this would mean lambert dropping Weiman, which as we saw when he was off form doesn't happen. When he gets back to fitness it would be interesting to see what happens with him
  2. Hart Walker Jagielka Cahill Baines Gerard Wilshire Ox Rooney Townsend Sturridge Bench Forster, cole, clyne, lescott Dawson Milner Carroll Lallana Barkley ruddy sterling
  3. But if we could get that one quality midfielder who vastly improves the team, that 9th or 8th place would generate more prize money meaning more could be spent in the summer. It would also mean that the player would be acclimatised to our team and players hopefully meaning that we could push on next yr and not have a complete rebuild again next summer
  4. Pullis has worked wonders. Made them very hard to beat
  5. He is a weird shows at times very good technical ability (see his free kicks and assist for kea vs man city) but then other times shows awful ability. A decent squad filler who will do a role when called upon
  6. Going slightly off topic, but has anyone really been consistent enough to warrant a call up? Ok maybe when all the striker injuries struck Gabby could have been but everyone else hasn't in my eyes
  7. Could see us going back for clyne as he has lost his place to chambers
  8. And yet bannan used to get vilified for trying "Hollywood passes"
  9. I missed today's game. What a game to miss.. Bloody typical
  10. This thread is class... To add a couple more.. The country western singer in Simpsons (Laline maybe??), some of the nurses/team rocket girl from Pokemon (I probably watched that when I was a bi too old to be watching it, only by a few yrs I may add). And finally surprised it hasn't been mentioned but one of the originals.. Betty Boo.
  11. Indeed. I think this will be my last year of being a season ticket holder after decades. **** right off Skyscumsport Don't let them beat you Rob. Even in the shit times, there's nothing beats being at VP for a game. True - but I actually like Saturday at 3pm. Saturday at 5.30pm isn't so bad either. But Sunday at 1.30/4.00pm, Saturday at 12.45, and especially Monday night can all **** right off. Killing the game for regular attenders. No, correction, they've killed it already. Couldn't agree more so pissed off with these changes.
  12. Anyone (cough cough) questioning the size of Man Utd as a club should see that they are reportedly in a biddig war for shirt manufacturers, it's expected to dwarf arsenal at £70m per yr
  13. No pressure here then.. Lets wait to see how he develops.
  14. There have been some very good and big transfers in January down the yrs.. Suarez, Vidic, Young etc... If the clubs want the player a deal can always be worked out... Now I'm not expecting anything of that magnitude, but if the manager has identified one-three targets in one position that is needed then it is down to the money men to sort out to ensure that the team progresses.
  15. Southgate or Barry for me as best. Gabby under mcleish was appalling
  16. If utd get everyone fit (yes a big ask) the forward line is still incredible. Playing a 4231 the front four could easily be.. Rooney Kagawa Mata Van Persie Then with the likes of Januzai, Young and Valencia all to come in as well.
  17. Always thought we should have a link with them, would be worthwhile for both parties
  18. I feel like you underestimate how big Man U are I think an awful lot of people are overestimating this. Their current stature in the game is entirely the work of one man, now he has gone they will very quickly become one of many 'top' sides. They are still a massive club with a huge worldwide stature, that's not going to alter that fast. Look at Liverpool haven't won the league for years but are still big throughout the world
  19. If (when) shaw goes it'll be interesting to see if all the money I reinvested into the team
  20. I got it on the very last clue just as they did.. Well done it was a hard one to get. The ramble cracks me up. Brilliant podcast
  21. Doesn't always start for wolves. Apparently gets homesick. Can't see anything in this one
  22. Jenny you have to reveal all the Olympic village stories wink wink nudge nudge Oh and mention VT WHEN you win a medal
