all very lethargic, none of these players are making a case for being in the first 11. Cash looks really poor.
-
he'd prob be an asset in any championship side tbh. No Champ side could afford his wages tho, unless he took a sizeable drop.
-
June 2024, so 18 months. Hopefully he will move this window.
-
can see K.Young & Ramsey on for Bailey & Dougie after 55-60 mins.
-
other than Bailey & Luiz, exactly what i expected tbh.
-
Philly scores vs Leeds.
-
lets be real, this is like us getting linked with Ryan Kent & Kamara (not the good one - the Rangers one) every 2 minutes when Gerrard was here. Just lazy journalism.

yeah he does seem to have two core tactics, one versus similar/lower teams, and one versus better teams. Looking at how we have done, it seems we are currently more comfortable with the more defensive tactic, but not quite so comfortable with the higher line/more progressive one, but thats prob due to the fact that we need more technical/intelligent players to play the higher line. Seems to me that this window Emery is looking for the players to suit the more progressive style (progressive left back/left midfielder, winger, maybe striker etc).
-
yeah, will be interesting to see how Emery uses him if he does sign, especially if we do sign a right wide player, or a left wide player so Ramsey is on the right. Either way, will be interesting. It is good though to kind of see what Emery is trying to do, its clear Moreno suits Emery's style to a tee, and hopefully other signings will too, and we can clearly see how we will likely set up. Maybe Moreno at left back, new left winger/wide player, with Cash/Ramsey on the right, or something. Exciting times.....to trust a manager signing players lol. who knows.....maybe Ramsey will be the shadow striker/advanced midfielder and have Bailey/Buendia/new wide player competing for the two wide spots?
-
i think he will come in to both: 1) Challenge Digne at Left Back. 2) Challenge for Left Midfield. I think he could, and will do both depending on how Emery wants to set up for a game. There is a vid out there detailing Emery's tactics, and this guy fits it like a glove, a progressive/technical left back with pace who can bomb up and down, or as a left midfielder who helps cover for the left back from left midfield, or tucks in slightly to offer defensive solidity while other player go forward. edit: watch this if you have time, it details how Emery used the left side positions at Villarreal, i think it quickly becomes clear exactly how Moreno could fit in at left back or left midfield in this system.

so the tier 1 report of this transfer is a picture, of a guy, in a cap, in a bar, which may or may not be near Birmingham? thats worth its own thread?
-
yeah, they have some very good players, their midfield of Nunes/Neves is just as good as ours (Kamara/Luiz). Very good/technical team.
-
It said we are interested. It didn't day we were preparing, readying, weighing, sending a message, preparing to prepare a bid, etc etc, so we are clearly miles off.

Signed fofana for 12m ish from molde. Talk about hoarding young talent, should be rules against it tbh.
-
He's only playing as their rb is injured I think. I'm sure I read somewhere that their anther has said their rb will go straight back in to the 11 when fit. Tbh I would bring him back and loan him out again.

It's easy now. Most of the top clubs in Argentina, Brazil etc are now tier 1 for work permits under brexit. It's now easier to recruit from the top south american teams than say.....scandinavian clubs etc.

he's a good player. The problem is, for the money we paid, and the wages he is on (165k p/w?), he really doesnt justify that kind of money, he's "good", but he has zero athleticism and runs like he is in treacle, it really shows when he is trying to get up and down the line. Its a difficult one, as he is a good player in a certain style, but i think he just isnt the player we need, and we got our pants pulled down with his contract etc, no way is anyone else gonna offer him 165k a week, or anywhere close.
-
Emery wont fancy him i dont think. Can see a few players being offloaded in Jan or the summer, and Traore will probably be one of them (if we can even sell him - im sure his wages are 80k p/w ish). Cant see many teams being able to afford those kind of wages, and any that can would want a better player for that kind of money, most probably. maybe we will get lucky.

Looks like they signed kevin long.

Augustinsson is here on loan, so I guess we could just end his loan. (Or keep him on loan and offload digne)

is it right that Moreno was going to join Forest for about 10-15m in the summer, but pulled out of the move as the fans begged him to stay?
