    thats the core way Emery likes to play, tbh its a scenario of if they cant do it, they will probably be gone, that simple rly. Emery wont change the style of playing out from the back, its one of his core tactical thingy ma bobs.

    our central defenders just arent comfortable on the ball, add mcginn to that and 50% of the players "in the build up" just arent quite there. Emery is gonna love Carlos i reckon.

    ye ofc, my point is more i think we just have 2-3 players who just cant play that way no matter what practice is done.

    yeah not commenting on their attack, just how good they are in their own third with retention. Thats how Emery wants us to play i think (not passy passy in the final third - but defo in the first third)

    and again, our players arent showing when playing out from the back, just not enough options.

    you can see the difference when the two teams play out from the back. Brightons players are all showing for the ball and giving options and passing links, when we do it, we have 2 or so players showing, but not enough are showing to make the closing down difficult. some of our players can clearly play that way, and tbh some clearly cant.

    watching Brighton play out from the back shows us just how far we have got to go, if we want to play similar.
