this guy is just a dreamboat. I honestly havent felt this good about a manager since.....well.....a long time. We need to invest in him and support him, he knows how to build a team, i hope we let him. We will defo have ups and downs, but i have no doubt Emery is the right man for the job.

hope he gets well soon. What i will say though, is you can see that he knew his place in the team was up for grabs.... honestly, for that first goal, you watch him run up that pitch as fast as his legs could carry him chasing the forward play, he actually caught up with the kamara/Bailey play and was to the left of the goal when Bailey scored. I dont think i have ever seen him run that fast in a Villa shirt.

we need better footballers to dominate games more, we have a couple of those type of players, but not enough. I can see Emery fixing that tho tbh, over jan and the summer.

i think Emery is doing a brilliant job, some of our players are also, but we are over performing under Emery for sure, we need 4-5 new first team players over the next 2 windows for sure.

i thought that, when it happened i couldnt believe it wasnt a red card, if Couts turns him there its basically an open goal, so by default denial of a clear goalscoring chance!?

I do like Emery, he is clearly a tactical genius, the way he talks about player profiles, ensuring varied player profiles within the team for different tactics etc. This guy is gravy. its also clear he is a systems manager, ie: the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, and all players work to the system, i can see him observing the players who cant or wont apply his systems as he wishes being ejected over the next 18 months, he just wont tolerate it, and its great! Sawiris deserves a lot of credit for getting Emery in tbh.

i like how when Moreno see's our indoor training facility you literally see his eyebrows raise in appreciation, then Lange mentions something about it and Moreno says something like "its beautiful, very beautiful".

tbf, Lerner took us from mid table, to Europe, to the Championship

urm, not sure thats true, regardless of how much we hate Gerrard. Lerner's tenure led to relegation and 3 years in the championship.

a striker who has scored 11 goals in 62 games or something, for 35m. Im pretty sure a lot of ppl on here would go nuts if we bought a striker with that record, for that price.

Gueye had a relegation release clause, so it wasn't quite that we sold him on the cheap intentionally.
