  1. Going camping December 6th-8th by the Goulbourn River. So nice I think I might just pitch a tent (giggidy).
  2. @Xela @il_serpente https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2018/02/22/5-facts-about-blacks-in-the-u-s/
  3. We're gonna drop 'em like frozen airplane sh** through a roof!!
  4. I would hope that this troubled man is dealt with in a just manner, ultimately it's child safety we're concerned with, right? Not parading trophies through the street.
  5. I thought it odd too, let me go through my browser history and track down the source.
  6. Hold on. Am I right in thinking these Northerner vigilantes were posing as underage on a chat in order to expose this man? If not, how has it been established by these vigilantes that he was grooming kids 11-14? How do they have access to the chat log? Did they hack the chat transcript? Are they family members of the potential victims? And what do they think they are doing filming him? As far as I'm concerned they are the one's who should be taken down to the police station for some serious words at the minimum, from the impression I get.
  7. This is super-relatable though.
  8. Median income for non-hispanic whites in the U.S is $170,000 per annum Median income for African American blacks in the U.S is $17,000 per annum. 18.6 million people living on less than $1.90 per day in the Middle East and North Africa. That's the equivalent of 75% of Australia's population, living on $1.90 per day. That's pretty extreme. I wonder if Australia would ever become the land of extremists? Halliburton represent!
  9. I take your point. What I'm saying is not that our aim is to finish above Sheffield United. Apologies if it comes off like that. What I'm highlighting, is that you're saying we need certain results, and I'm not even sure we want them at this stage. With 75 points to play for and us being 3 points out of the top half of the table, things are not yet established. For all we know it could be Sheffield United in the bottom three come February, that's quite possible. 8 point turnaround when each team has 75 to play for isn't out of the question. We stay clear of the relegation zone by getting results in our fixtures.
  10. Really been enjoying your posts of late but this one confuses me. Sheffield United are four points above us with two thirds of a 38 game season to go. The only part of this post that resonates with me is that yes, it would be nice to know there's going to be three worse off teams than us. But 4 point deficit with 75 points to play for does not equate to us being so far from Sheffield United that we don't still consider them a rival.
  11. I'm guessing he'll go on to be a mainstay of the England squad, and prove you right, sooner rather than later. However, right now I'd say he has not yet surpassed Jadon Sancho or Raheem Sterling for England's best midfielder, unless you're talking central players. Then you have to consider the fact that Sterling was influential in winning a PL title. Milner, Henderson and Alli all made it to the CL final playing for their clubs. Oxlade Chamberlain, Lallana, Dier, Delph, Barkley, Mount, Loftus-Cheek, Maddison, Winks are all part of setups challenging European placing and playing CL football. Grealish has been knocking on the door for a call up to England since we were last in the Premier League, don't get me wrong his inclusion is long overdue. All I'm saying is England squads might as well be picked by the guys who write for the BBC, 'cause you ain't getting a look in if you're not top 4.
  12. What about Poveda from Manchester City? Has 1 goal and 2 assists in 5 PL appearances this season. Smith would know him from their time at Brentford together.
  13. Might've been posted already but Pep Guardiola says in a press conference that Grealish is an "incredible, incredible player". He says that he enjoyed the fact that Grealish stuck with us through the Championship stretch, and says he is too expensive for City.
  14. Dzeko was linked to a move somewhere on the BBC a few days ago. Not a bad shout. Apparently we're in discussions for Benrahma, but also Buendia from Norwich. The fee for Buendia would be considerably more than Benrahma. In other rumours, we had also lined up the transfer of a CB from Galatasaray who has been very impressive against the likes of Real and PSG. Luyindamas is his name. That move is off due to a serious injury to the player. For me the most important move for us this January, is beating our rivals to the signing of Gaitan, we are having discussions but it looks like he's going back to Boca.
  15. Seeing people at their best.
  16. Why not make it two? I can't really think of too many better partnerships, the wavelength of these two was incredible: Heaton Guilbert - Engels - Mings - Targett Marvelous McGinn - Luiz - Grealish Cole - Yorke If you're going to be spoilsports, and make me choose one, unfortunately for him I don't think Le Tissier's position needs attention, so I'll say either Bergkamp or Henry. Yaya Toure's peak years at City were certainly underrated at the time and now, again though, not a position that we are weakest in.
  17. Emulate that kind of skill and influence each week and he has a memorable career in the top flight ahead of him. Good work AEG!
  18. We had the better chances on goal, 62% possession, went a fair way to doubling their passes made with an 86% completion rate, and doubled their corners. More importantly we won 2-0 in a fixture fans expected a result in, and we ended our run of three defeats. Not that results are a given in any fixture, but the next three are tough. If you want to scrutinise and speculate about the substitutions made, go ahead, but from where I sit it's a game to be celebrated and hopefully a catalyst for better performances. An introduction on our end would've changed the dynamic of a game we were truly on top of. I thought Smith's formation, tactics and substitutions kept the balance in our favour.
  19. He did okay against Newcastle. Made some good decisions, that might appear obvious but in the heat of the moment, aren't necessarily. I can't recall any costly mistakes over the 90 minutes. He went down too easily a few times, and can be too casual getting into position. Unfortunately while both are quite easily addressed. Hold your ground in a contest and back yourself to win instead of appealing to the referee, and run harder. Both are fundamental to being able to outmaneuver opponents, whether to nullify or create chances. Confidence in your ability, and covering ground better than the opposition. To address that I'd get him running more, and go over video to show him how he could greater influence matches, though I'm sure Smith would have better ideas. I think the jury is still very much out on Wesley, I can't align myself with a lot of the criticism he gets just yet.
  20. Had maximin on lock for the majority of the game. Very impressed. Good going forward too.
  21. Less than a month now. Might have to volunteer with the homeless at some point on the day itself. I'm sure it's one of the better times of year for them, considering it's the middle of Summer and people might be more generous. Still though, having the constant reminder that family and loved one's are celebrating all the things that these people don't have must be tough.
  22. I'd actually take Gaitan at this point. Long-term, Benrahma every time. But given our current situation and plight, Gaitan for now.
