The General FFP (Financial Fair Play) Thread
Kuwabatake Sanjuro replied to Marka Ragnos's topic in Other Football
Just goes to show the bad company we have been keeping, if we had made a less inspired appointment after Gerrard we'd definitely be facing serious issues. -
I'm just after realising that David de Gea has pretty much retired since his contract expired last year, they really broke him as a footballer apart from the crazy salary they gave him.

Sir Jeffrey Donaldson resigning immediately as leader of DUP. All social media deleted. -
Please tell me when to stop laughing at SHA

As a kid watching matches on TV I always thought Highfield Road was a cool stadium full of character, it still wouldn't look out of date compared to some grounds in the top two tiers. -
Failed to take your advice as she didn't like the description of old school equipment in Dino's, am currently in the foundry in Chelmsley Wood, it's grand but missing a couple of leg curl variation machines so I'm in trouble even though it's not really my fault.
-
Thanks, will probably give that place a go on the morning, the only other half decent option I found was The Foundry gym in Chelmsley Wood but that might be more of a chain type gym.
-
Quick query, any gym recommendations near the NEC? The girlfriend is into bodybuilding so we are heading to the Arnold Expo this weekend and will have to keep her routine? Looking for something with all the leg machines imaginable?
-
The comments underneath it are fairly depressing (granted it is the utter cesspit of twitter but Britain really is terf island).

Aramco sponsorship of Aston Martin was completely coincidental when they were on the right side of a corrupt intervention in the Aramco Saudi GP.

I've wanted him here for a good few years but seeing as he is now playing for Forest Andrew Omobamidele would be perfect cover for Ezri Konsa. Might not be too expensive if Forest need to sell for FFP/PSR.

Worth pointing out that barring a disastrous collapse we are almost certain to have our highest point total in the 38 game PL era.

Hard to have sympathy if they knew they were still in ffp trouble that summer and still went out and paid big/moderately large sums for Onana, McNeil, Maupay and Garner along with big wages on Tarkowski, Gueye and Coady. Of course they may have gotten relegated had they not signed players but that's not an excuse to go out and break the rules. Nottingham Forest also should get no sympathy if they are in breach, their spending has been stupid. If Villa end up in breach too then it will be what we deserve for allowing Gerrard waste money/wages but hopefully we have enough business sense to just about avoid any sanctions.

Tonev was unbelievably good at taking corners with either foot, not much good at anything else.

His best performance for Arsenal was against us in the dying days of the Dean Smith era. His successful loan at Luton will mean they get a good price for him now.

There never is a good time of year to do your cruciate but at least doing it now means he won't miss much of next season assuming the clubs medical team don't mess up his rehab.
-
We need him to produce some magic today, bad sign from an attacking point of view that this thread hasn't been updated in 2024.
-
At least West Ham are dropping off well now, should help us getting a Europa League place at a minimum.
-
Surprised this hasn't been bumped, looks like he won't win the league now hilariously enough. The other funny thing is that Tuchel is actually starting Eric Dier now too when Spurs would rather play 2 full backs at centre half ahead of him.
-
Annoying that we won't be fresh for this with players playing pointless minutes now.

The Ex-Villa Player thread - Keeping tabs on old Villans
Kuwabatake Sanjuro replied to Moneill's topic in Other Football
He would have been a good rotation option during the peak O'Neill seasons and would have been our best midfielder during our decline. A pity. -
Yeah realised that straight after unfortunately.

Another option at right back with Konsa out? We need someone with the ability to pass a football to play there.
