  1. Run come save me - Roots Manuva Only delve I to hip hop occasionally but love this album, and Dub come save me.
  2. I was a regular then so wouldn't have been an issue but Chelsea tickets were pretty easy to get. The fact we had been there not long before demand probably wasn't as high as I think it would be this time round (fingers crossed) after what we have gone through for the last few years everyone who is eligible will want to go. I'll be touch and go this year if it happens as I've hardly been. Doing my glory hunter bit tomorrow though and will be out. I'll be the one with a half & half scarf and selfie stick.
  3. Great news, as long as he doesn't recommend any players to sign.
  4. Not been to a gig in ages but got The Skints in Bristol next month and now sorted my super furry's tickets for Brixton.
  5. Pretty much sums up what I thought had happened. Gil got overpowered a fair bit against Stoke which wasn't all his fault, it was the way the team was set out. When trying to create things he came up against N'Zonzi a few times, he had no chance physically with little help. Hopefully he still has a big role to play this season and certainly next season if we stay up.
  6. It looks like both Delph & Westwood knew exactly what was coming.
  7. Sound, will be trying to sort some Brixton tickets.
  8. Some Spurs fans said he was a merchant banker
  9. They were linked in the summer
  10. I didn't even get an interview for the facilities manager role I went for where I work. Back to the job hunt it is.
  11. We always attack much more down the right with Hutton, I'm not sure if this is because Hutton is better or because he has much more support than Cissokho gets when attacking down the left. It always seemed like the case under Lambert, it was a bit more balanced the other day.
  12. Id love us to set up with this team and formation today. I dont know whether it would have Gil dropping a little deeper to receive the ball or Bacuna and Sinclair dropping but it has pace power and attacking intent. Was just going to post the same formation, which is what I'd like to see. As if it's true Westwood & Cleverley aren't starting then it looks like 2 in the middle. Not sure how it would work in general play but I'd possibly play Bacuna on the left. He would want to come inside all the time which although it might be predictable, if he does get space you know what he can do, it will also give Cissokho a bit of space on the overlap. Gil can choose where ever the hell he wants to play, drop deep, support Benteke or out wide. Even if he is put on the right he needs to have license to roam.
  13. Well let's hope Riley was a bigger factor in some of our successful transfers rather than Lambert, either side of his spell at Liverpool. Hasn't McLeish said that Benteke was in a pool of potential players that he had while in charge?
  14. Albrighton was absolutely class in the West Ham game. It was a great start to the season all round, how things changed
  15. I get a student concession ticket (I do have a student ID card) it bleeps as I go through but never been questioned despite looking far too old to be a student. So I agree just go for it, leaving a bit of time if you are unlucky.
  16. I've seen this mentioned in passing but not seen any proof... There's definitely been a couple of pictures posted the first he was with a group of people and the second in the stand. Not seen them since they were posted to see if he is wearing the same clothing but each was posted after 2 separate games.
  17. If I was a player i don't think I'd even notice what was playing and certainly wouldn't care. It's not to say it's not important though, if it helps get the crowd going. Chants of Villa from The Holte and the rest of the ground would get me much more pumped up.
  18. It probably has been a bit over board at times since the final whistle went Sunday but it's definitely nice to see a bit of optimism
  19. Would be interesting to know what Lineker thought as you could really tell if he was just being a presenter. Going by he didn't make too much of an argument I guess he didn't think it was either.
  20. Yeah, as soon as the ball went to him I called the goal. You could just see he was going to have the time and space to cut inside and he's got a great curling shot, never in doubt.
  21. Is a couple of passionate team talks going to save our season? No of course it isn't, but there is no denying it made the difference today. What ever was said and the change in tactics meant the second half was much better than the first, which frankly wouldn't have been hard but it was a huge change. Can't remember any of your posts on Sherwood getting the job if you did, but your comments strike me as someone that doesn't want him here and won't change your mind till you're given no option. A passionate half time team talk has changed many a game, so I can't believe your giving him no credit at all. The motivational approach can only get you so far and the hard work will need to be done on the training pitch and on match day if we're going to carry this big lift past a game or two.
  22. Did you think we we had a better chance of staying up with Lambert?
