  1. Okore, slow? He was running like Richard Dunne after 10 pints to be fair to him. Whether he was carrying a knock, or fatigued, I don't know. Yeah but we know Okore isn't slow usually so it indicates, as you said, either a knock or being fatigued. Sherwood said last week he was carrying in an injury. On that basis he should have started Senderos. We don't know if Senderos is 100% fit either
  2. I've just realised it was a great move by Tim. He knew Hull would lose today so fixed it so we get battered. If we finished on a massive high, Lerner or 'someone else' might think that the players we've got are good enough. Now he's put some doubt in there, to bump the transfer money up. GENIUS!
  3. Nearly said it on Twitter but couldn't bring myself to do it.
  4. Wasn't it ACL? There is very little impact on pace even if they take a graft from hamstring, which I don't think they do for professional footballers. I'd mine done with my hammy. I can barely walk. But I'm guessing Okore did a bit more physiotherapy and conditioning post op than I did. I've done mine as well, with hamstring graft and had issues building quad muscle back up but fine now and you say they have much better rehabilitation and I think footballers have artificial ligaments instead of grafts now (could be wrong though)

  6. Bit of pride needed, win the second half at least.
  7. Wow. I know people are looking for a scapegoat but jesus. What's wrong with that? I'm not blaming him individually for the goals or even our performance as such and haven't ever that I remember criticised N'Zogbia on here but that first half he might have well not have even been on the pitch.
  8. It took 41 minutes to actually see N'Zogbia or hear his name. We've been defensively awful but it really looked like we only had 10 men.
  9. From the Semi, I imagine it will be the same for the final http://www.myoldmansaid.com/aston-villa-wembley-pub-list-allocation-tips/ West Side Pubs: The Green Man Dagmar Avenue, Wembley, HA9 8DF Blue Room 53 Wembley Hill Road, Wembley, HA9 8BE Liquor Station 379 High Road, Wembley, HA9 6AA JJ Moons 397 High Road, Wembley, HA9 7DT Thirsty Eddie’s 412 High Road, Wembley, HA9 6AH Masti 576 – 582 High Road, Wembley, HA0 2AA Flannery’s 610 High Road, Wembley, HA0 2AF Station 31 (Speakeasy) 299 -303 Harrow Road, Wembley, HA9 6BD The Corner House (Mannions) 313 Harrow Road, Wembley, HA9 6BA Fusilier 652 Harrow Road, Wembley, HA0 2HA The Copper Jug 10 The Broadway, Wembley, HA9 8JU Powerleague Olympic Way, Wembley
  10. I'm considering going to the clay oven. I think this weekend I'll find out whether I have managed to get a couple of tickets through the 'football family' so waiting till I make any plans. Anybody watching the match somewhere in Bath/Bristol? as ater London or Birmingham that is my third option?
  11. I imagine smoking does increase chances (not sure either) but my Dad died at 32 and was a pretty fit & healthy non smoker. I'm now just older than he was which felt a bit weird to think about as I reached the same age.
  12. I actually don't go to Nando's very often for the complete opposite reason, Fast food and pubs excluded if i want a meal in a restaurant, I want them to do all the work, I'm not standing in a queue to order my food!
  13. My Dad died before my first birthday from oesophagal cancer, its a bastard because it can be too late before you start showing symptoms and by which time it has already had chance to spread.
  14. The other thing I'd question, you say you were sent pictures by mail, was this post or email? If it was post my concern would be he's preventing any chance of being traced.
  15. It doesn't really work like that does it though? It's not so much just the extra games, it's the Thursday-sunday games which are the main impact on league form. I'm in favour of giving the Europa a go but purely because I love away trips abroad.
  16. I'm getting the official half & half scarf, foam FA cup and can't decide between the claret and blue wig or jester hat
  17. It'd be something to consider when a more cautious approach may be required. They are a very balanced back 3 and all of them comfortable bringing the ball out of defence when there is an opportunity which is important in that formation.
  18. He's too busy being the go to man on sexual relations in Iran
  19. I had a big carton of it the other week, first time in about 25years.
  20. We are gong to rule Europe, with Inter and Sporting to be our feeder clubs followed by Dortmund, Lyon and Feyenoord
  21. With rumours of being in the process of due diligence, would that not need assurances that the money was in place? My business knowledge is non existent really but some information looked at in the process must be quite sensitive and you'd want plenty of assurances before getting to that stage.
  22. Yes it does. But it's a reversion to the mean as opposed to the effect of a new manager. So if a team is underperforming, the "new manager bounce" is merely an effect of the team not underperforming under the old manager. Which basically means you can't just bring in 15 managers spread throughout the season and harness the bounce to win you the league Because your team will just perform as they should perform. However, with that being said, Sherwood has gone beyond that bounce now. He's got us performing better than that imo. Not seen the stats but guessing they only really show that getting a new manager towards the tail end of doesn't always work and maybe even works less than it succeeds, but it's obviously the case numerous times where it has had an affect. As Stevo says under performing is a massive factor. Say Burnley sacked Dyche and Sherwood or someone else went in, I imagine the bounce is less likely to happen/be successful because they are possibly overall playing to their full potential. We all know watching Villa had been so frustrating because we knew individually we've got good players who weren't performing individually or as a team for whatever reasons.
  23. He really is so consistent and while I like Sanchez it's quite an important role to be consistent in. I don't think he is doing much different to the rest of his time here, it's more how the rest of the team is playing now which helps him look better.
  24. I always felt we were brewing to hammer some one under Houllier and build from there. It didn't happen though apart from the end of the season and Houllier wasn't even in charge.
