  1. Certain foods I just try to stay away from. Chips are one of them, and biscuits.
  2. Yeah that was also good. Just remembered the scene where Garth tells Wayne everyone thinks he is going crazy because he keeps talking about Jim Morrison. "People are saying there goes Garth and his friend Wayne.... the psychopath"
  3. Watched Waynes World 2 last night, got it from sky on demand. Quality film, so many great memorable moments. The YMCA scene The scene where they go backstage at the Aerosmith concert and get approached by the two nerds and pretend they aren't Wayne and garth Del Preston telling his ozzie m & m s story The Leprechaun The drive through scene Garth in the laundrette with his shrunken clothes and underwear
  4. Best part of the race was massa being told to move over for his team mate Same shit different day eh Felipe?
  5. Quite enjoyed today's race, the new changes have mixed things up a bit and made everything slightly more unpredictable which was needed really. However from 2 races of this season it just becomes more evident that at the top of the grid there really isn't much between the drivers so basically what determines race winners and championship winners is the equipment underneath them, Mercedes clearly have the best car so will probably dominate most races until red bull catch up, the only excitement to be had is what's going on in the middle pack really.
  6. Nothing special about our star or our planet so hard to see why we would be the only life in the universe. 14 billion years is a long time for shit to happen.
  7. Can't win every game of football, not at our level anyway but to play this poorly against a stoke team who are missing quite a few first teamers and have only won once away all season this is something special. One shot on target all game after 5 minutes, not acceptable I'm afraid
  8. The same thing I do every weekend. .....try to take over the world!
  9. Not quite sure what he offers to the team this season. Its hard to judge how important work rate and harrying is until its gone but im pretty sure a busy striker who could get between 8-12 goals a season would be a lot more useful to the team. Although saying that maybe defoe would be that guy or someone like defoe but im not sure I would want to lose weimanns passion and workrate to accommodate someone like defoe who porbably wouldn't compliment our 3 striker system in the same way.
  10. Cant fault Brad at all really, confident when coming out for corners, good shot stopper, athletic, considering we don't really have a top defence I think he does a fantastic job.

    Science Thread

For me a universe starts with a Big Bang and ends with a big chill, not sure how that fits in with multiverses etc... We could be in the first iteration or the 1 millionth.
  12. I think I was about 12 when I saw Blair witch and I loved it.
  13. Probably going to be an interesting season but for the wrong reasons. F1 isn't the pinnacle of motor racing anymore and that's wrong
  14. Hmmm maybe the fact that its constantly being rammed down everyone's throats regardless of their stance on gambling, lots of impressionable young minds at football matches and watching sporting events on the tv, essentially being groomed IMO
  15. There's a fun bet365 game you can play, watch out for the football highlights from something like soccer am where they show all the goals from the lower leagues and try to spot the bet365 hoarding, 90% on the time there is one, pretty much every advert break on sky sports contains one of their adverts as well, disgusting really and that comes from someone who gambles regularly!
  16. Harsh times, seen it before but it was on film four a few nights ago. Cracking little film featuring Christian bale before he really made it, quite a gripping ride actually.
  17. Hard to know how someone will react in a state of panic but I find it very hard to believe he woke up confused thinking there may be an intruder in his house and he didn't think to check his girlfriend was still lying next to him before he fired 4 shots through the bathroom door again without checking if his girlfriend was in there, surely that would be your first thought before firing.
  18. Yeah you make some good points there mate, just feel like I'm stuck in a rut and the longer it goes on the more helpless you feel to turn it around. I think what's opened my eyes is realizing I'm not a kid anymore, the place I used to work I wa the youngest by 15-20 years so i still felt like a young kid with all the choices and opportunities in front of me, fast forward 5 years and starting a new job I don't really like and I'm now working with 18-19 year olds, albeit slightly below my position but seeing them have the drive and motivation to look for better jobs and try to better themselves has kinda made me look in the mirror and realize I should be doing the same.
  19. That's a great post AndyM, summed up how I felt a few years so myself, coasted through a job etc then that ended and I was left wondering what the hell to do with myself. To be honest I've become very angry that we are of a generation that was basically lied to, all the way through school I was told go to college, go to uni it's the only way to get anywhere, in reality that's a load of shite, oh how I wish I had done an apprenticeship or learned a trade when I was 18. I'm now 28 and have only done office jobs so I'm Now basically confined to that type of work, can't afford to start messing about with apprenticeships or going back to college. Just wish I had started on the bottom ladder of a big company with the ability to move up a ladder, I can't stress enough how much a mistake it is to work for small Companies with a ceiling above you from day one, I've certainly fallen fowl of that.
  20. Her is really good and seems very possible in the near future.
  21. I have a voucher to get a new game, my question is do I go for assassins crewed/tomb raider or thief?
  22. No you have mate, your time would be slowed down to accommodate seeing the light traveling away at 186,000 miles per second, this all ties in to the twin paradox and why you would come Back having aged a lot less than your twin who stayed on earth while you were traveling at close to light speed, it's absolute not relative.
  23. The speed of light is relative to the speed of light passing through a different medium. (If I've understood your use of the word "relative" correctly.) Think of "C" as an upper limit for the speed anything can move, Like zero is the slowest. The example I had in my head was that a car is traveling along a road and is overtaken by another car, now the speed of the overtaking car is obviously dependent on who is observing it, e.g car b is traveling at 20mph relative to car a but 80mph relative to someone who is at rest on the side of the road. Take it to extremes though and imagine the car is traveling at 180,000 miles per second and flicks on its headlights, it doesn't matter whether you are in the car or observing from the side of the road the light still travels at 186,000 miles per second. I guess this goes someway to explaining why time slows down when approaching the speed of light because when you travel faster in space, time must slow down to compensate. Fascinating stuff which I'm only just starting to get my head around.
