  1. It's like being attacked by a flock of seagulls while wearing a chip hat. Some quality commentary during the slope style, really enjoyed that actually
  2. Amazing to think how far we have come as a species that the above picture is even possible.
  3. I recently watched filth myself, really enjoyed it as well, Macavoy was excellent and pretty much carried the film, reminded me of transpotting a touch which is no bad thing.
  4. Rafa almost retired with a back problem so my comments still stand really.
  5. Final is over as a spectacle now, wawrinka is really playing some good stuff but he's never taken a set off rafa, doubt that will change in the final
  6. Kobayashi racing for free apparently. Fair play to the lad. Banzaiiiiiiiiiiii
  7. Loved Django and hated Pacific Rim. Really wanted to like PR but just found it so boring and didn't care about any of the characters, it felt like a 100 million quid version of power rangers, maybe some people liked that who knows.
  8. I've heard that Joseph Gordon Levitt was meant to be in the film but had to pull out due to don Jon and that's maybe why Tarantino decided to step in instead
  9. I love it too, his best for me aswell.
  10. Was playing forza on this last night, have to say for a launch game I was pretty damn impressed, definitely a jump in graphics from the last gen, controller was more responsive as well. Really liking it so far
  11. Watched some good films recently, nothing particularly mainstream. Sightseers - probably a 7/10 film , some good characters especially the lead bloke, interesting film and worth a watch. Crazy, stupid love - Ryan gosling basically plays himself, strange little film really, one minute it's poking fun at cliches in other rom coms then it seems to forget that and throws out some of its own, extra point for the lovely Emma stone. 7/10 The way way back - cracking little film, Sam Rockwell is excellent as always, the young lad is really good as the shy youngster coming out of his shell and props to Steve carrell for playing someone who you really don't like in the film 8/10 The spectacular now - from the writers of 500 days of summer and it shows, not just your bog standard film about young love, goes deeper than that and the film is carried by the 2 excellent leads, simple film but I really enjoyed it 8/10
  12. Breakdown is a great little film.
  13. I love a good horror film and its hard to quantify what makes a good horror/thriller. Recent ones for me are the orphanage, let the right one in, these are films that stick with you afterwards. Special mention for event horizon definitely one of my favourites, don't know why but its so damn creepy.
  14. I think I prefer the hobbit so far to lord of the rings as well.
  15. Not sure why people feel the need to keep defending our awful possession stats. Yes on a game by game basis it might be acceptable - beating Southampton and Sunderland for example but going forward as a football club it's simply not good enough. We are never going to push on and potentially challenge for Europe or a Top 4 spot with such abysmal possession, just look at any of the top teams and they don't play this way. Maybe those are the most effective tactics with the limited players we have but I just don't see any future in playing this way.
  16. My mate phoned one once while we were all listening in and the first thing he said was I want to eat corn chips out of your ass and then the phone went dead at the other end. True story.
  17. Players we should keep: Benteke Guzan Clark Players we shouldn't keep: The rest of the squad. Notable mentions to: Weimann - does he ever score, assist or do anything remotely positive? Luna - offers nothing going forward and is pretty much a liability in every game Baker - slow, clumsy, always seems to get his head on the ball from corners, free kicks etc.. in the oppo half but generally seems to think he is up there defending not attacking Kozak - slow, clumsy, no passion for attacking the ball or assisting with build up play Heleinus - who? Tonev - had so many chances to prove himself or even show a glimmer of talent, still waiting for that to happen, pretty sure we could pick up a 100,000 purchase from the championship or league one with more potential than him
  18. Cant see any reason to continue supporting this current team or manager. We're **** clueless.
  19. Yeah is a good film, suggest you watch stranger than fiction if you haven't already, similar sort of role for Ferrell and he's good in that as well
  20. Re: Eden lake - yeah great original film and of course a great acting performance from fassbender. Re: alpha papa, I've never seen anything relating to Alan partridge in my life but I was compelled to download the film for some reason, I thought it was brilliant and laughed out loud many times, seemed like they actually had a good story line to me and a reason for the film to exist. The gun handle and the live roadshow were just a couple of the highlights for me.
  21. I thought pacific rim was a load of tosh to be honest. As soon as I heard the word jaeger I couldn't stop thinking of jaeger bombs
  22. I'm sorry but mathew Broderick's finest hour was clearly in cable guy.
  23. Just watching compliance on film 4. 2 points really, 1. Nobody would ever be stupid enough to do what some nut case is saying over the phone 2. Dreama Walker has a fantastic rack on her
  24. I honestly thought this was going to be a comment on the news story about that bloke that punched someone in the supermarket car park and he died, only read about it earlier. On the basis that the punch may result in death, Bono
  25. People pacing, for no reason at all. There's a guy at the bus stop who has just waked round in circles for the last 10 minutes, really starting to annoy me now
