  1. For me it isn't chocolate, its crisps and shit like that, I can't keep anything like that at home because as soon as I start I can't stop, multipack of crisps? gone in one sitting no problem, pringles? whole tube gone in 15 minutes, I have been pretty shit lately and whenever I go into Tesco's I've been picking up a big pack of crisps and just demolishing them as soon as I get home, I know I can't be trusted and I can't be sensible so I'm just going to stop buying them, I don't buy them I can't eat them. Same goes for fizzy pop, I can't remember the last time I had anything more than a can of coke whilst at work because if I have a bottle of pepsi you can bet that I'll neck the whole thing in one night. I only buy it very rarely as a treat but its been about 10 years since I bought the stuff regularly, same goes for squash, the only things I drink are water, coffee and alcohol, and the occasional mug of tea.
  2. Brilliant in Carrie, even better is the fact that throughout the whole film she thought she was actually shooting a comedy. I bet if people go back through her IMDB page they'll be shocked at just how many films they have seen with her in. I might actually put Carrie on later, been a while since I watched it.
  3. I was back up the road again today at 6:30am, nothing too crazy again just 30 minutes on the treadmill at a very very slow pace, I'm purposely not pushing myself at the minute and even then I was massively out of puff, I don't wanna go like a maniac and then struggle to top what I've done for another month, I'm just going to build up slowly and keep doing a little bit more each time. I've gotta be careful with my hips and knees as well because they aren't exactly in the greatest of condition these days.
  4. Just wanted to say that it still cheers me up every now and again when I see Irreverentad's name at the start of this thread
  5. I caught the end of the Logan fight just as the dude tried to wrassle him the the floor and he tried (and failed) to punch him while he was down, then 600 security fellas jumped into the ring and it didn't look staged at all, no sir, not one bit. Then the Logan dude called out Rey fooking Mysterio Then the youtuber dude KSI came out in a snot coloured supercar for some reason Watched the first round of the bizarre star jump punch clinch thing and switched it off. I know people say that you can't compare what went on with last night to actual boxing but that is how they try and market it and the fact that these frauds are making more money than genuine fighters who have grinded their whole life is just sad, fancy boxing since you were 8 years old and getting to have your first fight in York Hall for a couple of hundred quid, hoping that someone is going to spot you, only to realise that all the promotors are at home watching the youtubers instead.
  6. My Dad has just phoned me up and his exact words were "what is this fight tonight, Tommy Fury is fighting some bloke called KFC, is this a proper fight or another Tik Tok thing"
  7. I've had a wee bet on Wales and Ireland to win today. I'd love to see NZ to get the result though.
  8. Fixed it for you I joke, I joke...I'll go stand in the naughty corner
  9. Just got back, I only did 20 minutes at a reeeaaally slow pace, today was just about getting back in there for the first time/ My body and joints these days are pretty much made of glass so my first few times I'm not really looking at time or distance at all, I'm just making sure that I get through the doors and doing a little bit. Even just doing that little bit I could feel my calfs, it won't take to long for me to get back into it properly.
  10. I disagree, I refuse to believe that such a massive rocket polisher knows nothing about knocking one out.
  11. Nah, I don't bother with shit like that, I just do what I do. Cut down on the shit I'm eating, no more takeaways except for my Friday night curry, no more silly snacks, I don't drink all that much these days, usually about 4 cans on a Friday and maybe one or two if the Villa are playing but that is my total alcohol intake for the week. When I was going before I lost a fair bit of weight with no problem at all, once I've got a bit of fitness back I'll be fine again.
  12. Don't worry it was said in the right spirit...you thick paddy
  13. Signed back up for the gym today, just popped in to get my card reactivated. Before Covid I was going in 4 times a week sometimes twice a day, I only ever really used the treadmill and bike but I was doing really well. Then Covid struck, I caught it in February before lockdown and it took about 6 weeks before my breathing was ok enough for me to start running again, by that point the gyms had locked down, when it reopened I started going again but I was out of the routine and my visits were sporadic at best, I tried running outside and kept that up for a while but ultimately I have spent the last 2 and a half years sitting down doing absolutely **** all other than eat shit and get fatter. I've decided its time to get back on the hoss, I've got a mountain to climb just to get back to where I was and it'll take an awful long time but I'm looking forward to it. I'm going to start off pretty easy, get in there 3 times a week in the morning before I start work, my main thing is that I just need to get my confidence up again and just get used to the atmosphere again, once I've done that I'll start going on my lunchbreaks and after work again and just generally get in there as much as possible. I know it seems stupid to pay for a gym pass just to use the treadmill but I find it so much easier to motivate myself to go there rather than running outside. got some headphones arriving today and I'll be trying them out tomorrow at 6am on the dot.
  14. cant believe this wasn't the first thing posted
  15. I'm still on strike from our office, I've only done the last 2 Mondays in there, the rest I've been WFH, my concentration has fell off a cliff now though, I'm getting distracted by absolutely everything, thing is, this was happening when I was doing 4 days a week in the office, from next week I'll just go in when I feel it and I'll probably do 2 or 3 days a week in there. The problem has come from training the newbie, knowing that I pretty much "have" to go in even on the odd days that I would have chose to stay at home, no one was forcing me, but with the newbie it was only fair that I was there as much as possible to show him the ropes. He's at the point now where he can "kind of" figure out what he's doing so I've got a bit more freedom.
  16. Before the pandemic I used to have a Cineworld pass and would go to the cinema 3 or 4 times a week, straight after work I'd have a walk up Broad street and catch the 4:20 showing of pretty much whatever was on. I just go to the VUE at Star City now, its a 25 minute walk and only costs £5.99 so I'll pop along once every couple of weeks.
  17. Yeah, Burstyn said that they made her an offer she said no, they doubled it and she said no again, then the doubled it again and she made them also fund scholarships for young actors or something like that, she was purely there for the money and at the grand old age of 90 I don't think you can blame her, she saw it as one last pay day for something she cares about. I didn't watch the second season of The TV series, once they had concluded Regan's story I lost interest in it. The Entity is another of my favourites, I used to have a thing for Barbara Hershey in that film when I was a kid...again it makes me wonder why my old man thought it was alright for me to watch it "so Lee, how old are you again...11 you say...here is a film where a ghost continuously rapes a woman, enjoy"
  18. I can't stop thinking about Believer, David Gordon **** Green has an awful lot to answer for, I've just put the original on to purge my brain of that rubbish I watched yesterday. There is every chance I'll nod off at some point during this though as I had a few cans while the Villa were playing and now I feel sluggish.
  19. I'm just glad that the magnificent Gary Southgate doesn't pick players based on recency bias because Ollie hasn't had a sniff today
  20. Exorcist believer...why the **** did I bother, The Exorcist is my favourite movie of all time, I probably watch it about 6 times a year, I've read the book at least 10 times and have an original copy along with a £50 hardback copy, this film was only ever going to boil my piss.
  21. Nope, did you not watch the Brighton game? Gary Southgate gets a magnificent reception every time he comes to Villa park, it is always a warm welcome for him due to his playing days with the club....according to the commentator who clearly knows **** all and was just waffling absolute shite
  22. Yep, it's always easy to tell if there is a mid/end credits scene because the lights stay off in the cinema I enjoyed saw X, definitely one of the better in the franchise and it's actually got me wanting to go back and revisit them all.
  23. Its not impossible, this was less than 10 years ago And them useless **** didn't have Don Unai managing them...in fact, if we don't win it then #EMERYOUT
