  1. Paramore - This Is Why Morgan Wade - Psychopath Megan Moroney - Lucky Charles Wesley Godwin - Family Ties Christone "Kingfish" Ingram - Live in London Real Gone - Ally Venable
  2. oh man, on my list yesterday I completely forgot to include Charles Wesley Godwin, he's **** incredible, the closest thing we've had to Guy Clarke in my opinion. Drayton Farley is really good as well, his EP was better than his album, he got in some of Jason Isbelle's players and producers and now he sounds like Drayton Isbelle which is a shame because the EP was solid, the album is still good just far too similar to what was already out there.
  3. The Highway was a fantastic album. Kat Hasty is great as well, take a listen to her stuff on Spotify, just a shame that she only has one 20 minute album and a few EP's, I'm still waiting for a full length album from her. For country pop I really enjoyed Megan Moroneys album, some nice cheesy stuff on there but also some great acoustic ballads as well.
  4. The greats for me are Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clarke, Steve Young, Steve Earle. For the modern stuff take a look at Tyler Childers, Jason Isbelle, Zach Bryan, Bailey Zimmerman, Lainey Wilson, Morgan Wade, Ryan Bingham those a just a few of the Country(ish) artists that I listen to. According to my Spotify Wrapped my most listened genres this year was Rock, modern Blues, modern country pop, new americana and classic texas country. Always been a big fan of country music but there has been a fair few artists that I like who have released albums this year which is why it has taken over the genres that I've listened to.
  5. I've used it since 2016, I realised that I was buying CD's burning them onto my PC putting them onto my iPod and never touching them again, seemed like a waste, and living in a 1 bed flat I don't exactly have the space for thousands of CD's these days, my DVD collection takes up far too much space as it is.
  6. I got 48,000 minutes listened to this year 1-Paramore 2-Zach Bryan 3-Rory Gallagher 4-Morgan Wade 5-The Beatles No surprises there at all and I always hit around 45k minutes
  7. Shall I crack the joke about how helpful it is of them to circle the funny bits?
  8. My Mom said that she always used to sit on the left as you go down the stairs, on the day of the bombings someone was sitting in their usual spot so they sat on the right of the pub, I'm hear today because some poor **** sat in my Moms spot, it doesn't get much closer than that.
  9. I know that I'm resurrecting this thread but I thought it was worthy of it. My Mom randomly stumbled across this earlier and clicked on it, the first voice you hear is my Mom directly after the bomb went off, she was 17 or 18 at the time, it shook her up to randomly hear it.
  10. Oh I bought a bottle of Appleton Estate Rum for around £20 as well, again, not a Black Friday purchase but it was listed as being in the sale, if anything I might have saved around £5 on that
  11. I bought two things in Black Friday sales but they were necessity purchases. My PS5 pad was being a knob and wouldn't charge properly, I had a look on Thursday and they were £70, yesterday morning I opened my laptop and the page was still open but it had dropped to £36 so I was just lucky that I didn't pull the trigger when I first saw it. Second purchase was some headphones, I think that they were about £40 down from £70 or something like that, I've got a really good pair of Sony's and a cheaper pair that I use in the gym but the cheaper pair, while the sound was decent they weren't loud enough and aren't the most comfortable so I would have ended up buying a new pair at some point anyway.
  12. I've been going to the gym regularly over the past 6 weeks or so which is the same amount of time I've been doing Keto, I don't notice any difference between now and when I was going a few years ago to be honest, other than the fact that I am far far heavier now than I was before which makes it a struggle. I'm not the fittest anyway, I never have been so I'm usually blowing pretty early on anyway but it hasn't been any more than I would expect on Keto
  13. well I hit my first mini goal so my treat is a full on Indian, chicken and king prawn madras, boiled rice, naan and a tandoori chicken starter. After tonight I'm right back on it and my next goal is another 6lbs from where I am now and then I can have another treat. I haven't been to the gym in over a week either because I've been under the weather and had a bit of a bad chest, I'm hoping I'll be good to get back in there tomorrow but have a feeling it will be Friday or Saturday. 24lbs in 6 weeks so far.
  14. we have very different coping mechanisms
  15. One bonus about working from home is that after several shit phone calls I could reach for the rum at 11am and not be judged by anyone. I'm gunna take a lunch time nap and then get back on the rum, my plan is to get myself just pissed enough that I don't care.
  16. To be fair, This thread would have a helluva lot more pages if I contributed more often but I prefer to send love letters to his home instead of wasting my time on here.
  17. Just talking to my old man on the phone and just as I was ganging up he said "Ollie Watkins to score first, Villa to win 2-0, mark my words" He's not a betting man so I've stuck a fiver on it for him without telling him
  18. I got stuck in an EDL protest by accident once. Me and my mate went into town intending on getting pissed up, we were walking to the Troc when we walked into a big police barricade, we tried to get to the briar rose instead, we asked a copper if we could just dip under their barricade and run into the pub, copper said yeah no problem, we got half way down the road and about 10 police came charging towards us screaming for us to get back and then there was a shower of bottles come flying through the air, we were rounded back up into the protest group and herded half way across town, we eventually managed to break away after about and hour and we went to the Flapper. The bottles and everything came from the counter protest on new street by the way, I didn't actually see a scrap of violence from the EDL lot.
  19. If he gets 20 goals this season I'm going to stop calling him Wallie Otkins
  20. Yeah, I lost a shed load of weight before lockdown as well, was doing really well but then, as we know, I wasn't allowed to see anyone other than justeat or uber eats drivers so they became my best pals and it stayed that way until recently. When I lost all of my timber before It was the same sort of thing so I'm fully prepared for the big slow down, as long as I can keep shifting a pound or 2 a week I'll be happy
  21. Bacon and sausage is fine but sometimes you need it in between that bready goodness don't ya lol. Xmas won't be too bad for me, it'll literally be Xmas eve and Xmas day and even then I won't be gorging on chocolate or anything like that, Xmas is a pretty low key affair for me. A lot of it was definitely water weight, I lost an absolute **** ton in the first week, its tapered off already but its still coming down.
  22. Well its been nearly a month and I'm down by 17lbs (I initially thought it was more but I was going off what I weighed at my heaviest, I'd managed to lose a few lbs before I started taking it really seriously, I'd say I've lost 20lbs in the last 2 months) 17lbs in 4 weeks (on Friday) though man, I'm pretty damn chuffed with that, my next milestone is to drop another 3lbs and then I am gunna treat myself to some fish and chips from the chippy. So far the only times I've deviated has been on a Friday night with my curry, but I've sacked off the naan and am having a chicken madras and saag paneer with rice, I don't think that is actually too bad, @Demitri_C you seem clued up on this shit, maybe you can let me know just how bad that is for a once a week treat, I've also had one Greggs breakfast and I had a few beers and a bacon and sausage sarnie when I went round me pals house, other than that though I've stuck to it rigidly, for a whole month I think that's not too bad.
  23. Gotta be honest, I can't remember him making an error like that for a long time, am I forgetting one (or more) that happened recently (its possible, I have the memory of a goldfish when it comes to things that happen in football)
  24. I'll watch the blues in the same way that I'd watch fulham v Bolton or something like that, you know the sort of thing that you put on in the background while doing something else. I will say though, I don't know a single one of their players, but outside of the villa I don't know many players at all these days, off the top of my head I can only think of 4 man city players, Haaland, Foden, Grealish and De Bruyne, so it's no surprise I don't know any of the blues players.
