  1. My Dad has just phoned me up and his exact words were "what is this fight tonight, Tommy Fury is fighting some bloke called KFC, is this a proper fight or another Tik Tok thing"
  2. I've had a wee bet on Wales and Ireland to win today. I'd love to see NZ to get the result though.
  3. Fixed it for you I joke, I joke...I'll go stand in the naughty corner
  4. Just got back, I only did 20 minutes at a reeeaaally slow pace, today was just about getting back in there for the first time/ My body and joints these days are pretty much made of glass so my first few times I'm not really looking at time or distance at all, I'm just making sure that I get through the doors and doing a little bit. Even just doing that little bit I could feel my calfs, it won't take to long for me to get back into it properly.
  5. I disagree, I refuse to believe that such a massive rocket polisher knows nothing about knocking one out.
  6. Nah, I don't bother with shit like that, I just do what I do. Cut down on the shit I'm eating, no more takeaways except for my Friday night curry, no more silly snacks, I don't drink all that much these days, usually about 4 cans on a Friday and maybe one or two if the Villa are playing but that is my total alcohol intake for the week. When I was going before I lost a fair bit of weight with no problem at all, once I've got a bit of fitness back I'll be fine again.
  7. Don't worry it was said in the right spirit...you thick paddy
  8. Signed back up for the gym today, just popped in to get my card reactivated. Before Covid I was going in 4 times a week sometimes twice a day, I only ever really used the treadmill and bike but I was doing really well. Then Covid struck, I caught it in February before lockdown and it took about 6 weeks before my breathing was ok enough for me to start running again, by that point the gyms had locked down, when it reopened I started going again but I was out of the routine and my visits were sporadic at best, I tried running outside and kept that up for a while but ultimately I have spent the last 2 and a half years sitting down doing absolutely **** all other than eat shit and get fatter. I've decided its time to get back on the hoss, I've got a mountain to climb just to get back to where I was and it'll take an awful long time but I'm looking forward to it. I'm going to start off pretty easy, get in there 3 times a week in the morning before I start work, my main thing is that I just need to get my confidence up again and just get used to the atmosphere again, once I've done that I'll start going on my lunchbreaks and after work again and just generally get in there as much as possible. I know it seems stupid to pay for a gym pass just to use the treadmill but I find it so much easier to motivate myself to go there rather than running outside. got some headphones arriving today and I'll be trying them out tomorrow at 6am on the dot.
  9. cant believe this wasn't the first thing posted
  10. I'm still on strike from our office, I've only done the last 2 Mondays in there, the rest I've been WFH, my concentration has fell off a cliff now though, I'm getting distracted by absolutely everything, thing is, this was happening when I was doing 4 days a week in the office, from next week I'll just go in when I feel it and I'll probably do 2 or 3 days a week in there. The problem has come from training the newbie, knowing that I pretty much "have" to go in even on the odd days that I would have chose to stay at home, no one was forcing me, but with the newbie it was only fair that I was there as much as possible to show him the ropes. He's at the point now where he can "kind of" figure out what he's doing so I've got a bit more freedom.
  11. Before the pandemic I used to have a Cineworld pass and would go to the cinema 3 or 4 times a week, straight after work I'd have a walk up Broad street and catch the 4:20 showing of pretty much whatever was on. I just go to the VUE at Star City now, its a 25 minute walk and only costs £5.99 so I'll pop along once every couple of weeks.
  12. Yeah, Burstyn said that they made her an offer she said no, they doubled it and she said no again, then the doubled it again and she made them also fund scholarships for young actors or something like that, she was purely there for the money and at the grand old age of 90 I don't think you can blame her, she saw it as one last pay day for something she cares about. I didn't watch the second season of The TV series, once they had concluded Regan's story I lost interest in it. The Entity is another of my favourites, I used to have a thing for Barbara Hershey in that film when I was a kid...again it makes me wonder why my old man thought it was alright for me to watch it "so Lee, how old are you again...11 you say...here is a film where a ghost continuously rapes a woman, enjoy"
  13. I can't stop thinking about Believer, David Gordon **** Green has an awful lot to answer for, I've just put the original on to purge my brain of that rubbish I watched yesterday. There is every chance I'll nod off at some point during this though as I had a few cans while the Villa were playing and now I feel sluggish.
  14. I'm just glad that the magnificent Gary Southgate doesn't pick players based on recency bias because Ollie hasn't had a sniff today
  15. Exorcist believer...why the **** did I bother, The Exorcist is my favourite movie of all time, I probably watch it about 6 times a year, I've read the book at least 10 times and have an original copy along with a £50 hardback copy, this film was only ever going to boil my piss.
  16. Nope, did you not watch the Brighton game? Gary Southgate gets a magnificent reception every time he comes to Villa park, it is always a warm welcome for him due to his playing days with the club....according to the commentator who clearly knows **** all and was just waffling absolute shite
  17. Yep, it's always easy to tell if there is a mid/end credits scene because the lights stay off in the cinema I enjoyed saw X, definitely one of the better in the franchise and it's actually got me wanting to go back and revisit them all.
  18. Its not impossible, this was less than 10 years ago And them useless **** didn't have Don Unai managing them...in fact, if we don't win it then #EMERYOUT
  19. as someone who has no affinity for cats aside from that **** idiot that decides he's my cat every now and again (we have a real love hate relationship) 21 years is way **** better than you would have ever expected when you got Oxo, I remember when we had our staffie put down at the age of 16, she was my dog and I felt guilty when I moved out of my mom n dads because she fell into a depression without me, she wasn't my dog, I was her human, she **** idolised me, even now, about 10 years later I still **** miss her, I think about her more than I should, whenever I dream I can guarantee that she'll pop up somewhere. when my mom n dad took her to be put down I was fuming because they didn't tell me, looking back on it I can 100% understand, a few hours after they told me I absolutely broke down, I remember sitting on the edge of my bed and crying for about 3 hour. she was 16, had diabetes, was blind and deaf, it was the kindest and most difficult thing we've ever had to do as a family. its **** shit, I'm not gunna say it gets easier because I still miss that dog to this **** day, but this is what we sign up for when we get pets.
  20. I swear to god, this **** dickhead of a cat is taking the piss out of me, about 5 minutes after I posted that he came back, I decided to let him in (I've had a few beers so I'm not feeling as cruel as usual) he had his food then the tail went straight up, he was gunning for everywhere but I think that's cuz he hasn't been allowed in for so long, dropped some catnip on the floor and he rolled around like a dribbling mess for 15 minutes and I kicked him out, I'll let him back in and catnip another part of the room next time, get him smell intergrated into the place without the need for piss, you could tell he wasn't overly happy when he first came in but its probably been 4 or 5 weeks since I last let him come in.
  21. I think that me and Theodore have officially broken up, every time he was coming in the first thing he wanted to do was piss up the wall, I can't be having that so he's banned from coming inside, I've still been feeding him outside but the other night at 12 oclock he dive bombed me when I opened the window and was wraslin with me trying to get in, I can't have the little **** pissing on my walls so he's banned (again) I think he's sick of just being fed though because I haven't seen him in nearly a week now. He's either dead or being fed elsewhere, if he comes back then he's got one more chance, he tries to piss up the wall again and I'll beat him to death with the vacuum and have done with him.
  22. dunno what you mean, just a goat with some goats innit
