  1. Didn't somebody pretty much break the entire TV show when they told the other dude that he was going to steal and then split the money with him afterwards, basically a case of trust me or neither of us are leaving with anything. Don't think it lasted much longer after that.
  2. I also watched the new Chappelle special, thought that was brilliant
  3. I managed to drag my sorry ass back to the gym this morning, felt good to be in there again even if I didn't do a fat lot, it was more about just getting back on the hoss today more than anything. Same again tomorrow I reckon.
  4. I reckon that Rooney would be a good shout for a surprise entry for 2024
  5. Just watched The new Gervais Netflix thing, it was shit, I love dark offensive comedy, Gervais just isn't funny. The only bit that very nearly raised a chuckle from me was he was having his rant about the racist, homophobic, anti semitic cripple Timmy.
  6. This is the one thing that actually puts me off going back tomorrow, it'll most likely be rammed and because I haven't been for a while I'll look like one of the "new years resolution" crowd. Silly I know, just gotta get that first visit out of the way. This was a big struggle for me, especially when I was working 9-5 in the office, I only tend to have one or two meals a day now though, I don't barely eat anything during the day now.
  7. For me, my plans are to keep doing what I've been doing for the past few months, I've managed to lose over 30lbs so far and if I can do that again then I'll be pretty happy. I pretty much sacked off the gym for the whole of December, with the meals and general shite temptations that comes with Christmas, plus the cold mornings and dark nights I decided to have a break from it, it was pre-planned though and I've stuck to eating sensibly wherever possible, I weighed myself this morning and I've managed to pretty much maintain where I was since just before Christmas so I'm pleased with that. Back in the gym as of tomorrow though, no excuses of shit food, big dinners or events to keep me out.
  8. Never been a fan of Ricky Gervais, I loved The Office but never anything else that he has ever done. There is a difference between telling jokes that are offensive because they are funny and then telling jokes that are offensive because you have turned it into your "thing" and now you have to be as offensive as possible. That is what I assume it would be like with him anyways, I've never watched any more than 5 minutes of his stand up shows.
  9. Those were my choices for last year, I thought I had backed a couple of winners in Katie Price and Eamonn Holmes
  10. clint eastwood Yoko Ono David Jason James Cordon Bruce Willis
  11. I'm currently down 36lbs since mid October, I'll have 3 days of eating shite and then see what the damage is, I haven't been to the gym for the last few weeks either, its cold outside, constantly raining and I just haven't had the motivation, every time I walk past it is dead in there as well so I'm guessing most people feel the same way lol, I'll be getting back in there as of the first week of January though. Not as any new years resolution or any of that bollocks, just that I'll have had a decent enough break by then.
  12. Won me 75 quid tonight, I knew he would score so I had I fiver on him to get the first goal.
  13. yeah I know, like I said, it'll come off again pretty quickly, I'm not concerned at all by it, I just wanted to see what the damage was and just how many pounds of steak I'd eaten lol
  14. Well it was the Xmas meal today, weighed myself this morning and I was down 32lbs from my heaviest, today was always going to be of one meal where I truly forget about diet and just enjoyed my grub, it was an all you can eat place where they come around and just carve steak, lamb, pork, gammon onto your plate, there was no way that I was going to eat sensibly in that sort of atmosphere. Anyways got home and weighed myself and I'd gone up by 4lbs since this morning I know that'll come off again relatively quickly, but I thought it was pretty funny regardless. Back on it now until Xmas Eve when I'll indulge a little bit but not go crazy and my Xmas day breakfast, dinner and a few cans of lager (I've only had a total of 3 cans of lager in the last 2 months) and after that there isn't anything else on the calendar to throw me off track.
  15. I can see it now. AVFC will fall 1 point short and Neville, Carragher, Redknapp and all the other rocket polishers will be crowing about what amazing pundits they are because they told us that our away form would cost us.
  16. Completely agree, I was just about to post pretty much exactly the same thing but you saved me the bother
  17. Prior to starting this Keto lark I was eating shit loads, now I can fast for a whole day with no problem at all, I don't even register it because I'm just not hungry, by the second or third day of eating very little the hunger kicks in but even then it isn't like I'm sitting there thinking I'm absolutely starving and need to stuff my face, its just more of a "well, I suppose its time to eat something" I didn't ever think I would get to the point where I was eating so little but here we are, I probably average about 1700/1900 cals a day. Also I was off work last week and slacked a bit with the gym so bang on 5pm I'll be getting back in there. going to try and motivate myself to get up there 4 times this week.
  18. I did treat myself to my curry on Friday (and saved a wee bit for my breakfast on Saturday) I've been really careful since and I will stay careful until Wednesday which is our works Christmas meal, it'll go out of the window for that and then I'll be back on it until Xmas Eve, I'll eat and drink whatever the hell I want until boxing day and then get back on it in a big way.
  19. Everyone keeps making comparisons to the year that Leicester won the league, the difference between us and Leicester is that our team is far better than theirs was, their team was good don't get me wrong but it was a complete freak of a season for them to win it, we've been consistent for 12 whole months now. I still don't think we'll do it but I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts.
  20. rename the thread, we are in a race for the Premier League title right now
  21. I do feel a helluva lot better, still got a ways to go though. The main thing that I've noticed is how my relationship with food and eating has changed, before it was 3 meals a day with some snacks in between, now it is a case of eating when I feel like I need to, most days now I only have 2 meals a day with no snacks and some days I just don't eat at all, not because I am fasting or anything like that, I just don't feel hungry. I also don't spend too much time on my food, I don't cook any elaborate meals or anything like that, I just cook what I need to. I was having 3 or 4 takeaways a week before but I've completely stopped them now, the one thing that is bothering me though is that I really miss my Indian's, a Friday night curry has been tradition for many years, and I'm desperate to have one but the guilt stops me, I really don't like that feeling and I suppose it is a case of finding a balance, I initially said that at 30lbs I would treat myself but now I'm there I don't wanna set myself back even if it is only by a few days.
  22. 30lbs down from my heaviest.
  23. Paramore - This Is Why Morgan Wade - Psychopath Megan Moroney - Lucky Charles Wesley Godwin - Family Ties Christone "Kingfish" Ingram - Live in London Real Gone - Ally Venable
  24. oh man, on my list yesterday I completely forgot to include Charles Wesley Godwin, he's **** incredible, the closest thing we've had to Guy Clarke in my opinion. Drayton Farley is really good as well, his EP was better than his album, he got in some of Jason Isbelle's players and producers and now he sounds like Drayton Isbelle which is a shame because the EP was solid, the album is still good just far too similar to what was already out there.
  25. The Highway was a fantastic album. Kat Hasty is great as well, take a listen to her stuff on Spotify, just a shame that she only has one 20 minute album and a few EP's, I'm still waiting for a full length album from her. For country pop I really enjoyed Megan Moroneys album, some nice cheesy stuff on there but also some great acoustic ballads as well.
