  1. To be completely fair, this is totally standard practice in interviews, as many media organisations like to have 'their own' footage. There's a similar video of George Osborne, which also fails to annoy me. It was a pooled interview so there was only one reporter and one camera present. Ed didn't repeat himself out of courtesy but repeated himself out of idiocy. The reporter initially thought he was going to lose his job because he thought it was that bad an interview (link).
  2. Played the PES demo and was impressed. The players seem to be running on velcro and the ball glides as if it is on ice but that's just down to me been used to FIFA. The AI is much better, I'm so used to the FIFA AI sticking 10 men behind the ball and then dribbling as close to the touchline as possible so it was good to play against something trying to score against me. The tracking of runners (the thing computer games have never got right) is still sh*te but the recovery is quicker. It doesn't take the defenders 5 seconds to turn 180 degrees (maybe less realistic but necessary if you can design them to play on the half turn like in real football). The 'keepers seem to be stuck to the goal line. I suppose the acid test will come from playing online. If there's a weakness you'll guarantee it will be exploited there. FIFA 14 on the 360 seems good until you play against a pressure/pace abuse team with the name 'Sweat XI'. Last year, the price dropped pretty rapidly so will probably get it in a couple of months.
  3. I've read this paragraph a few times and can't work out if this is the work of a genius Partridge-esque parody account or the biggest moron on the internet.
  4. MrVimtoJoe is quite good The best skill move to use at first is the fake shot as any player can use it and it's effective at creating space for a shot or pass. He covers this in a fair few of his videos.
  5. I hope it's good. FIFA has had an open goal for the last few years and I think they're getting lazy. I don't give a crap about licences, I just want to be able to play with and against a decent AI. It's not too much to ask...
  6. I don't think anyone on here knows enough about the intimate details of the situation to dismiss the story as 'rubbish'. No one here has access to the HR records of the clubs showing who applied for what role and who was selected and by what criteria. Michael Johnson (ex-blose), in an interview last year, said he applied for 30 coaching roles after being released by Notts County and was only interviewed for three of the roles. This despite him holding the highest UEFA pro licence and having success coaching at youth level. His replacement at Notts County only had the B-licence. He's not calling the game institutionally racist but asked for a level playing field where people holding the same qualifications are treated the same when applying for jobs. I don't think anyone on here would disagree with this?
  7. Try Lethal Weapon 5. It's surprisingly short and is available on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjhV1DavSRM
  8. If you don't like it then you can always see how Bob in Tahiti thinks of your latest loss over on redcafe (or on blue moon if he has already switched sides).
  9. I'm glad I don't have much contact with the felchers! It was only a distant memory but from your post, the Derby score coming through at half time must have really shocked their fans - you can hardly hear a peep out of them in that highlights video in the second half. That Merson goal was mental though - great scenes of celebration. I remember people on the Holte trashing our performance that season at the time saying it was the worst for years. What we would give to watch Merson in his pomp now!
  10. I don't watch a lot of the epo league but is Godin really that good? He looked dogsh**e at the World Cup. Maybe I'm judging him too harshly on four games.
  11. I got 770. 75+2 x 9+1 Without brackets your solution gives 94 (as the multiplication is done before the addition) (soz dorris)
  12. It was crazy. It was crazy from the moment when Vassell scored, Coventry visibly wilted and it was just obvious to everybody that we were going to beat them from that point on. They cut away from it in the video, but watch Ian Taylor after Pablo scored. He just faced the Holte (pretty much opposite where I was sitting) and gestured "GOING DOWN" to the Villa fans. I remember the atmosphere changing at half time. The scores were read out and one (if not two IIRC) results were going against Coventry meaning they would be down anyway. It brought a massive cheer and their fans (& team) were subdued in the 2nd half. It was a memorable comeback.
  13. I wish I had. Every time I go back to have a nap some f***er runs up to me with a squirrel on a stick as a 'gift'. Completed the game now - really glad I gave it another go, It reminds me of Far Cry 2 in that the start of the game is so much harder than the rest of it. It's great they way they spread little stories throughout the wastelands and killing raiders is so damn satisfying.

    Any excuse to post this:
  15. Only public transport from Solihull town centre is the 966 bus which only departs every half an hour (unless you want to train it all the way into town and then back out again) (soz dorris) meaning the 6 mile journey can sometimes take an hour if the bus doesn't turn up. F***ing third world public transport system here in the West Midlands.
  16. Lara Croft : Guardian of light is an ace co-op game. Its a 3d puzzle platformer rather than a traditional tomb raider game
  17. Can you blame them? It's a horrible competition that seems to be designed to make those clubs challenging the established clubs play as many pointless games as possible.
  18. Caramel digestives run them close but I have to agree with the nomination for chocolate hobnob
  19. Oliseh isn't bad as a 4* cheap winger
  20. Jesus - you're worse than ISIS Ash!
