  1. Yep. They warn you about travelling south in the loading screens but f*ck me don't go too far East early on. My favourite bit of New Vegas was cheesing the Massive Deathclaws in the scrapyard from a tower about a mile away. Up till then I might as well have pissed on them for all the damage I could do.
  2. Tough one. I think I'd have to say The Best of the Beatles.
  3. Yes! Don't upgrade crappy weapons - save the materials for the special weapons (dropped by legendary enemies) and get gun nut level 2 to unlock more powerful stocks. Currently (level 15) using a 80 damage sniper (200 sneak damage), 86 damage silenced bolt pistol and a 114 damage shotgun for the really tough b*stards. Make sure you're agility and endurance are relatively high (more accuracy and AP in VATS) and concentrate on the rifle and pistol damage perks. Then use a lot of sneaking and backing away (so the enemies come at you one at a time). ----- Accidently stumbled upon my first legendary deathclaw. Ran like hell!
  4. Managed to scavenge my first decent gun - a bolt action sniper rifle with a precision scope which I have modded to add extra damage. Only problem is that I have 8 bullets for it... The game's inventory system has been modified for the better (one button press to store trash) and they have gotten rid of repairing weapons which means you wont have to lug around 3 types of each gun you are using. Pro tip - Securitrons blow up on killing them so don't melee them when they are low on health. D'oh.
  5. I've always viewed 'Moneyball' with a fair bit of skepticism. The A's success around that period was mostly down to three of their best pitchers in franchise history (Mulder, Hudson & Zito) playing and maturing together at the same time in a fairly weak division. The footballing equivalent would be Manchester United's golden generation of the 90s. It was a very successful team but certainly not a defining blueprint for repeated success.
  6. TV replays will be the final nail for me. If you cannot celebrate a goal in order to satisfy arseholes watching it at home then what's the **** point?
  7. I swear i've seen that somewhere before... ...like really recently... I'm sure Villajax would like this.
  8. Just played a game against a team of tryhards 4v4 on a public server. They went 4-0 up, got cocky and were taking the piss (this despite it been 4 teammates verses randoms). I managed to get it back to 4-2 then another random joined and scored 3 in the last minute - 2 with 20 seconds to go. Cue ragequit en mass. Love this game
  9. There will be a cooling off period won't there so you could cancel? Or is that just mobiles? I'll be asking that tomorrow, but I have a feeling he told me that there was no cooling off period. I can't find anything on the documentation that came through though. There are new regulations about providers not giving you the speeds they promised: link I'd say the fact that you were explicitly promised 40gb speeds at the point of sale gives you a very decent ofcom complaint
  10. Yes - only saved by this guy in the background. They should make him the anchor
  11. GOTY for me and I'm serious! In a way, it reminds me of Kick Off in that there's a high skill ceiling (no ball sticking to feet) and every game seems different.
  12. Completely missed all this. Thought he left last week Wonder how many on the thread spilling bile will be contributing to his wages with their Sky & BT subscriptions? I suppose it's easier to rant then have principles.
  13. Wish there were more games like this on the current gen - fun multiplayer games! Apart from this and Garden warfare, there's not much out there. Hope this doesn't get ruined by micro transactions in the future.
  14. The Broad wasted review count is up to 2 already for the series.
  15. Yeah because internment was a great **** success wan't it?
  16. Never heard of this game - Cheers, I'll pick this one up.
  17. A surprisingly positive review for Richard Desmond's new autobiography
  18. No definitely Bill. Although their personalities are different they drive the plot in an identical way: Two personalities struggling with sanity during a zombie apocalypse They are the sole residents of their town They booby trap the whole place to keep themselves secure (and the outside secure from them!) When Bill showed me that he was keeping his weapon stash in a church I wanted the game to give me an option to rip off his mask (scooby doo style) and reveal he was Grigori all along.
  19. Picked this up in the sale and enjoyed it but wouldn't say it was one of the best games of the last gen. It reminded me a lot of Spec Ops the Line (especially the character arc of the protagonist) but left me scratching my head regarding the current state of mainstream game reviews: Both are 3rd person action games focused mainly on story and character development with pretty average gameplay. One gets panned for the gameplay aspect, despite the story being a breath of fresh air in a stagnant market. The other is pretty formulaic and borrows heavily from other games (e.g. Bill might as well be called Father Grigori) and gets numerous game of the year awards.
  20. I think its healthy that these sort of questions are being asked.
  21. We're safe, in the cup final and the sun is beaming. What's not to smile about?"
  22. Then comes people who teabag in multiplayer shooters
