Wait……….with all the talk today, I thought we were taking Shakira as our new head coach?

I know absolutely nothing about the fella but really pleased at the speed of this appointment. Sometimes a new voice with new ideas can freshen things up as well.

I suppose the only shining light to this is it’s not even June yet, so wouldn’t be the most disruptive thing to happen. I’d be more worried if it was during preseason or a couple of days before our first game. Big decision for Gerrard and a test of who he knows and trust’s in the game.

Between 5m to 8m I reckon? Would love more but I honestly don’t see him being a 10m plus player. Still it’s decent profit for someone that cost buttons.

I love John McGinn, he’s infectious and so likeable. His personality must be a dream to have around the club, but £50m is a helluva lot of money for quite a limited footballer. Think I’d take that kind of offer.

Past caring and talking in depth about Jack but for him to joke/mock openly about a player at another club is pretty disgusting. Hope someone openly mocks him about his price tag and his poor stats next season. Perhaps someone from Newcastle, if they beat City. Total moron really and we’re a better club without him. -

Great transfer business so far and probably another three or four additions to come, we have to be looking at pushing for a top 8 finish. At least one very good cup run as well.

I’m not really sold on this one but when you look at his recent stats he’s hardly finished as a player. Was it 35 appearances and 11 goals last season? Free transfer on sensible wages? I’d probably take him for 12 months.

Bolt from the blue and didn’t expect it at all. Surely means Hause is going and wouldn’t be surprised if Mings goes this summer. Omitted from the England squad, so was it now deliberate in order for him to finalise a move elsewhere? Possibly add Bassey and we would be in a healthy CB position.

Kalvin Phillips has recently returned from injury and been part of a pretty disastrous Leeds season, who have leaked goals for fun. I’ve no issue with him and he’s been pretty reliable for England and very good next to Rice. So perhaps picked on merit? That’s ok. Tyrone Mings has been pretty reliable for England when called upon but now omitted from the squad? Maguire picked, Coady picked and not a natural left footed CB in the squad. I’m baffled by this and can’t understand the rationale here?

Can someone post how many caps Mings has and how many clean sheets he’s assisted to getting with England? Seem to recall it’s a really high percentage. Seems quite an unfair decision based on his previous performances. Never seen him put a foot wrong for England. Maguire on the other hand has had a pretty disastrous season and is picked perhaps on merit! Double standards?

If I had a choice of Mings or Coady in my squad, I’d pick Mings every single time.

I agree about the ball playing aspect but I do think as a team this season we’ve lacked height. Mings has to do a lot of work defending our box, largely on his own. Tarkowski would certainly help in this area.

The collapse was awful but think we should just forget Sunday and look forward to an exciting summer and next season now.
