What a mess they’re in right now and watching them last night, they were all over the place. They may fluke a point at the weekend but doubtful or fluke something on the final day but can’t see it being much better next season even if they stay up. Will they keep Marsch going into next season even?

Good point, it should help but also it may just convince Luiz and Chuk to sign new deals.

Well I for one will be chuffed if we wrap this signing up soon. I’m sure we can find a way play him and Buendia together ( especially at home). Major profile signing and will no doubt help to attract other big names over the summer. Imagine watching the World Cup later in the year knowing that the Brazil no10 is ours. It’s just a dream come true.

He’s a warrior and our captain and we have and are still getting incredible value out of him (on and off the pitch). I’ve joked in the last 24 hours on here but he’s still England’s best centre half right now.

He was rusty but gave us the right balance in the midfield. He’s a great squad player to have.

I think Gerrard is being as honest as he can be without getting into trouble and receiving a fine. Rightly he’s fuming because we were playing against twelve men for most of the night.

His overall game last night was good, just his finishing wasn’t quite there. His offside goal was very well taken. Shame.

If he is playing for his future at the club, he’s making a right hash of it. Starting to annoy me with his arm flapping, constant blaming of those around him and his dying act when fouled now. Perhaps he’s already been advised by the club and/or his agent that he’s on the way out? It really seems like his head has gone.
