Game might be harder due to the new manager bounce but we should still be winning these types of matches given our ambition and investment. A draw at the very least.
Given the games in hand, I feel the top 6 will include West Ham, Spurs and Arsenal. ManUtd, Wolves, Leicester and possibly Brighton and Villa will be fighting for 7th place. Anything lower than 11th will be really disappointing.
Was quite good today, but think that error will hurt his confidence and he'll be back to the bench with McGinn coming back and Ramsey's 2nd half performance. Seems cursed.
So many unforced errors (i.e. poor passes) in the final third. Quite frustrating. I love Ramsey, but he needs to be managed. For example can clearly see that Sanson is the more experienced player.
I remember at the start of last season everyone was gushing about Trez's play. There is a player in him if used the right way, but guess the lack of versatility and consistency is the issue.
I know they are saying it is not linked to Digne but at 15M it definitely looks like the clubs are trying to over inflate the value of the players for FFP purposes. We will probably then buy Digne for 35M on the books. This will bolster the income of both clubs, while the cost is amortized over the length of the contract. Not a finance expert, but I read this is what Italian and French clubs do regularly.
Realistically probably another 3-4 years until we see the likes of Kerr, Feeney and Bogarde playing first team football. Konsa for example played League 1 at age 19 & 20. Championship at age 21 and joined us at age 22.
I'm just not going to get worked-up over an 18 year old. If he goes to Borussia Dortmund, so be it. Sancho was at City, De Bruyne at Chelsea....you can't babysit players for years and years until they reach their peak. Some are bound to move on.
Undoubtedly a talent. Just feel he needs to be managed a bit by Gerrard. Believe Sanson would have been a more steady figure at the start of the match when United were pressing.
