    Find it really annoying when fans write this. Have read similar for Targett, Kienan, Trez, etc. We need to get maximum return on all our players. Bournemouth got 24M out of us for Mings, who was probably valued at 5M at the start of his loan. We need to be equally ruthless when doing business.

    Difficult to play the "dont sell players to your rivals" game. Need to focus on strengthening your own squad.

    That's exactly the issue with him. We need players that are consistent and are contributing every moment they are on the pitch. Not ones that give you some magic every now and then and go missing for large spells of a game.

    Actually if you look at the stats coming back from a two goal deficit to win is quite rare. Think Man City have only done it a handful of times in the last decade.

    Really feel the midfield needs a shake-up with one of Luiz or McGinn departing.

    This was a season of excuses. With a full preseason, Gerrard solidly in charge and some major signings to support our fairly strong squad, next season there are no excuses. We should be crossing the 50pt mark and in the top 8.

    I counted 5 of his crosses being blocked tonight. Either we need to sign the Burnley LB or Cash needs to work on getting the ball in. Not taking away anything from his performances across the season. He has been very good.

    He gained experience but we need immediate results. Hard to imagine that Sanson or Naka (thus pushing Luiz forward) would not have brought more to the game. Unless they are an absolute Rooney or Owen type phenom, think our highly rated youth players need to be loaned out until around age 20 or 21. You can't talk about challenging for Europe and then also be embedding teenagers in your squad.

    Showtime, but lacks consistency. Doubt we would get much for him after this season so might have to loan first to fetch a decent price. Same with Bailey probably.

    Thought he did well and upped the tempo when he came on.

    Who is gettable that is better than Ings and Watkins and more of a prospect than Archer?

    Think we need wingers, but SG doesn't play that type of system. Maybe that's the issue?

    We played well, but I think our buildup play as usual was far too slow for the majority of the match. How we played in the last 15 minutes is how we should play throughout the match.

    The press really works with him and Buendia. The likes of Bailey, Traore and Coutinho lack that tenacity.

    We took our chances, but generally thought we were poor - especially defensively. Chambers adds little as DM. I would substitute Tim or Nakamba for Konsa and push Chambers back.

    7 pts should get us to 11th. Just about acceptable for this transitional season.

    Given that he was our player of the year last season and has been very solid for Newcastle and helped them to a mid-table finished, we should be making a decent profit on him. Will be a good test of how strong a negotiator Purslow is. I know some just want to get rid of some of our fringe players, but you can't be raising ticket prices by 50% on one end and then giving players away for cheap on the other.

    Great to see him blossoming, but given his age feel SG could manage his minutes better by allocating some of it to the likes of Buendia, Sanson, Carney, etc.

    The Bailey injury saved him yesterday. Would have probably played him until the 80th minute otherwise.

    If NFFC get promoted, we should get a decent fee for him from them.

    What did you think of the rest of his game? His pressing, passing, ball retention, etc. He was a total liability out there. The difference when Ings came on was night and day.

    Loan him to a promoted side next season and let him prove himself there. We can't afford to give him minutes.
